Report: New contacts today between Milan and Mendes for Renato Sanches, PSG’s Diallo a target for the defense

Milan continue to try for Renato Sanches, despite competition from PSG, from which they want Abdou Diallo.

Charles De Ketelaere will tonight arrive in Milano and have his medical tomorrow morning, but Milan are already looking forward and want a new midfielder and a new defender in this mercato.

As reported by Sky Italia, today (Monday) the management of the Rossoneri had new direct contacts with Jorge Mendes, the agent of Renato Sanches.

Sanches is believed to be prioritizing a move a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain as he would reunite with Director of Sport Luis Campos and Christophe Galtier, with whom he worked at Lille.

Other media outlets suggested in recent days that Milan have an agreement in place with Lille for around €15m, but it’s the player who needs convincing.

Meanwhile, Sky reports that Milan asked Aston Villa for information regarding 18-year-old Carney Chukwuemeka. However, the Premier League side’s request is very high for the player whose contract expires next summer, and therefore he’s even more difficult target than Sanches.

As for the defense, Matteo Gabbia has a loan deal in place with Sampdoria but will only leave if Milan manage to take another center back. Sky claim that PSG’s Abdou Diallo is now the main target for the defense, overtaking Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga in the wish-list.

Diallo is capable of playing both as a center back and as a left-back and this is an advantage in the eyes of Milan. The goal, of course, is to sign someone on loan with option to buy.

Its easy to se why psg are attractive to him, its a familiar country, league, coach etc.
He had a major misstep by joining Bayern so young and taking years to rebuild his career, its impressive he has, many dont.
Honestly psg dont have too many great options in midfield so makes a lot of sense.
Still we live in hope, classy player and a great replacement for the great Frank the Tank

But report had it that he had agreement with us,just like Boatmam. So what has suddenly changed ?

Coach, sporting director and salary was always the problem, that’s why we couldn’t get him in January.

Remember last week when you were on here whining about the lack of movement and I said to relax. CDK a Milan player. Sanches gave PSG until Saturday to sell 3 players and make the deal with Lille (almost impossible). So he should be coming to. And Diallo. Also looks like another young talent in Mancini will be joining Milan as well. On top of that. Did you see the dominant performance over the weekend against Marseille? Remember when you were whining about losing to a mediocre team just last weekend? This is what I mean about jumping to conclusions… Read more »

Ok sure, chill out.
Every single milan fan and commentator have remarked at milans slow market, due to these new owners.
Yes finally cdk is arriving, but he has little time to integrate before the start of season.
Plus we have many more issues to solve, so it is appropriate.
Lets not pretend we have had a great transfer window. We are currently still in treading water mode

Milan has spent more money than anyone this transfer window in Italy.

Sanches going to psg unfortunately.

In terms of young/primavera strikers we have colombo, nasti, lazetic, roback etc. So forgive if I’m not excited about getting another

Signing a midfielder, a replacement for Kessie is more urgent than a defender. Pobega has potential and I really have him in high regards but if they want to take it step further, we need a ready player to step in for Franck immediately. Someone with energy and muscles. Sanches is good but kind of injury prone.

Please sign Giorgio Salvini or Caleb Okoli from Atalanta or Fabiano Parisi from Empoli (on loan with obligation/option) to fill up the 4 Italian association homegrown players quota required for UCL registration. For now, milan only have mirante, florenzi and tonali. Its a shame that plenty young Italian players have to leave Italy to get a chance to play / shine in the top division (scamacca, lorenzo lucca, mattia vini) We also only have 3 youth products, 2 if gabbia leaves (calabria, pobega) to fill the minimum quota of 4 players. If we dont fill these positions, it may seriously… Read more »

I think it’s more of a timing issue. CM and CB are priority right now. but yeah Parisi instead of Ballo-Toure and maybe Gnonto instead of Messias/Saelemakers would be really nice, since we have very few Italian players.

Coach Seedorf

Do we need Sanches in this team? Our AcM is overstocked already with Diaz, Adli, CDK and Krunic. Tonali and Benaccer can play there too but wouldn’t cos of Pioli. Sanches is not a Kessie type player, he is more offensive than defensive so I don’t think this signing is needed now, except we are not looking for a Kessie replacement since Sanches is a different profile to Kessie. When we say we need to replace Kessie, Sanches is not his replacement. If we want to replace Kessie, then we should replace him. Except we are looking at switching to… Read more »
