Paolo Scaroni spoke to MilanTV today before the Rossoneri’s friendly against Lemine Almenno.
Milan beat Lemine Almenno 3-0 today at Milanello and President Scaroni was watching the team from the sidelines.
Before the game, Paolo spoke to MilanTV, as the club continues to try to make moves on the transfer market to improve the squad of Pioli.
“We’ve had a few fantastic weeks after winning the Scudetto, we all remember the 4.5 hours on the bus surrounded by a never-seen-before crowd of celebrating fans. Today I’m here at Milanello and found a lot of enthusiasm. I met Coach Pioli, who I can is ‘on fire’ even now. Almost all the players are here, the last ones who were with their national teams are returning and by Friday everyone will be here. We’re eager to start the new season. Obviously, I expect Maldini and Massara, who’ve been working on the mercato since the 1st of July, will continue to carry out their projects and strategies. I’m confident important things will happen in the coming days.”
On the new arrivals: “Aside from being great players, we were impressed with the type of men Origi and Adli are. I believe that’s the best sign that they will settle in well here because as we’ve all seen, settling into an enthusiastic team, composed of people all helping each other, was the key to Milan’s success last season and will be the key to the success we hope to achieve this season.”
On the new season: “Last season’s success was the result of the patient construction we started four years ago. I remember when I became President in July 2018, Milan was at its lowest point on all fronts, but especially in sporting terms. We have built things up patiently working with great team spirit and great professional individuals which were the key to our successes. These individuals are still here with us, they’ve developed and integrated even better. That is what makes me optimistic for the coming season in which we have many objectives but one minimum objective I hope to see is passing the Group Stage in the Champions League. That would be a great success for me, obviously, if we go even further, that would be even better. We’re optimistic, we’re confident and the team is ready: we have all the ingredients to do well.”
shame on you, two premiere league clubs that just escaped relegation outbid you in the race for your priority targets. this mercato will end without anyone arriving! just like the last one and the one before that.
No we do not have all the ingredients to do well.
Your just a mouth piece for a vulture fund.
Mid july now, nothing done, bar losing high class players.

Useless management of all time
Shame Sanchez gone / botman gone/ Dybala we don’t have guts to bring him. What more good things are left?
it’s “S”, Sanches not Sachez. and that deal isn’t our fault, he just wants PSG, with his former coach and sports director. Botman is the only deal that we messed up and it was because Massara and Maldini were in contract extension talks.
as for Sanches, there are plenty other players that have similar playstyle and stats as Sanches, some even better:
CM: Douglas Luiz / Laimer / Torreira / Youssouf Fofana / Seko Fofana / Sangare / Guendouzi / Haidara / Khaphren Thuram / Fratessi
U talk as if u r part of the management or the team scout. Milan messed up and that’s just it. For the past two seasons we had no good reinforcement so Milan fans has ever right to be pessimistic. Sanchez has been on Milan radar for long, he waited for Milan over 3 mercato
Again, Sanches. And if you wanna whine, go a ahead, but don’t make up BS, we only waited him since Januray. for the last 2 seasons we have finished 2nd and 1st. It’s not Fifa and the results speak louder than your post. Sanches wants PSG, Fabrizio Romano said it, every newspaper says it, he still is not signed even though we had contact with Mendes since January, so it is that obvious. They messed up Botman for sure, but it doesn’t mean the transfer market is ruined. People like you and Jay just bring negativity here, I bet you… Read more »
