Samu Castillejo has said his goodbyes to Milan through Instagram.
Castillejo officially joined Valencia today, putting an end to his Milan career which ended with him winning the Scudetto.
Samu rejoins former coach Gennaro Gattuso back at his home country and will try to put his career back on track.
This evening the 27-year-old went on Instagram to bid his goodbye:
“Ciao to all Milanisti, I don’t know where to start because I could tell you so many things, but I couldn’t explain in words the emotions I experienced with this shirt.
“I wanted to thank each of you for all the affection, love and above all for what you’ve given me every day. I leave here many friends, teammates and people I want and will always love, I spent 4 fantastic years with you, with some difficult moments and many unforgettable ones, like winning a SCUDETTO. The first time I entered San Siro I was 11-years-old and I remember it like it was yesterday, butterflies in my stomach and an indescribable feeling… who would have imagined that this would be my home for 4 years. I write these words with all my heart and soul, what I always put out for this jersey and these colors. THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO EVERYONE, GOODBYE.”

Gentle and humble player. criticised by many but remained calm and professional. Thank you so much for your immense contribution to this shirt esp the assist in Verona and others .i wish u all the best Casti. Go and blossom!
Samu was consistently willing to help the squad when needed, and I have nothing but respect for him!!!
As much as I appreciate and thank Samu, I can’t stop wondering why Milan failed to get money from his transfer.
