Junior Messias will keep wearing the colors of the Rossoneri.
The Brazilian arrived from Crotone on loan with option to buy last summer and the club decided to keep Messias.
Yesterday the 31-year-old was at Casa Milan to sign the contract and today the official announcement arrived:
“Milan is delighted to announce that Walter Messias Junior has joined the Club on a permanent basis from Crotone FC. The Brazilian forward has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2024. After making 32 appearances and scoring six goals in the Club’s title-winning campaign, Junior will continue to wear the Rossoneri shirt.”
It’s believed that keeping Messias costs Milan around €4 million. His presence does not stop the Rossoneri from pursuing reinforcements in attack, such as Hakim Ziyech and Charles De Ketelaere.

Kalulu was just 500k, wow!!! Won’t be surprised to see a deal for Ziyech with option to buy at 5-8mil lol, that will be absolutely crazy though lol. I can’t see M&M paying 20-25mil for Ziyech, that would be absolutely strange. I love how they get very good players for cheap and Pioli tremendously increases their value
Are selling him right away or are we keeping him? If 2nd, then are we selling Saelemakers?
He deserves to be bought outright even if he’s sold on for some small capital gains. His contribution last season has merited such a reward.

He deserves to be kept. Don’t forget that was just his first season with us. He will do better this 2nd season. Saladmakaus should be sold or loaned out. If we don’t need the money, he should be loaned out so he can improve on his end product as he is really poor in the final third and shot accuracy
There’s some good argument for him to be kept in the team for next season and I myself wouldn’t be against it, but if it was a choice between him and Saelemaekers then I’d have to choose the latter to stay. Even though it was his first season at the club, we can’t forget that he’s 31 and practically new to the highest level of the profession. There’s no denying that he performed admirably last season with some decent but vital contributions, but so has Saelemaekers.
