Divock Origi has officially joined the Rossoneri today.

Origi already signed everything last week but the official announcement only arrived today, after earlier on Tuesday his contract was deposited with the Lega Serie A, sealing his free transfer to Milan.

The statement on the website of the Diavolo reads:

“Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Divock Origi. The Belgian has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2026.

“Born in Ostend, Belgium, on 18 April 1995, Origi developed in the Youth Sectors of Genk and Lille before making his first-team debut for the French club in 2013. After scoring 16 goals in 89 appearances for Lille, he moved to Liverpool, where, in his first two seasons, he found the net 21 times in 77 appearances. He was then loaned to Wolfsburg, where he scored seven goals in 36 matches. He returned to The Reds in 2018 and went on to make a further 98 appearances and net another 20 goals. There was no shortage of trophy success, either, as he won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.

“Origi made his senior international debut in 2014 and has scored three goals in 32 games for his country, also becoming the youngest goalscorer in Belgian World Cup history in Brazil.”

The presentation of Origi will take place on Thursday at 14:00 CEST. His shirt number hasn’t been announced yet but it is assumed he wants #27, currently held by Daniel Maldini.

Welcome Divock,

Hope you become a Milan legend as u have in Liverpool!

Hes a solid squad player, but we seriously need a more potent young striker.
Ibra is all but finished, Giroud is 34 and was hot/cold last season.

So i hope our striker roster will be
1. CDK
2. Origi
3. Giroud

Dybala to play no. 10 and a RW and we shud be competitive

Deku

CDK will be N10 most likely. Strikers will soon be Origi/Rebic, Giroud, Ibra(he’s about to extend; as i see Colombo is given time to grow, hence when Ibra hangs his boots, most likely next season, Colombo will replace him). Dybala can be RW/CAM, but since CDK is a must most likely RW will be either him or Zieych. LW of course Leao and Origi/Rebic depending who will be ST.

It seems cdk can play anywhere in attack so he could be used in different positions including striker. Anyway i think Dybala for free is a huge opportunity, experienced and classy. In terms of wages, he can have the money ibra was on (im assuming at this point he will be payed by games played) Cdk/origi/Giroud Leao/rebic Dybala/Diaz Zyech/Messias There can be some fluidity to who plays what positions. Given the age or qualities of Giroud, diaz and messias its likely our front 4 will mostly be some combination of cdk, origi, leao, rebic, Dybala and Zyech Even of those… Read more »
