Divock Origi will join Milan, but it will take a few more days.
The Rossoneri are starting a new era with RedBird as owners and the first signing of the summer will be Origi on a free.
The striker has an expiring contract with Liverpool and he’s all-set to join Milan and compete with Oliver Giroud (and Zlatan Ibrahimović) for a starting place.
Origi was originally expected to arrive in Milano for his medical check-up yesterday, but according to Sky Italia this evening, he’ll not arrive before next week.
The reason is that the Belgian ended the season with Liverpool with a slight injury which kept him out of the Champions League final in Paris on Saturday, and so he wants to take a few more days in the Merseyside to heal properly in order to have his Milan medical in a better shape physically.
The 27-year-old made 175 appearances with Liverpool, scored 41 goals – a lot of them in very crucial moments, winning the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and League Cup.
