Fikayo Tomori was happy and tired after the 1-0 win over Fiorentina, which keeps Milan first in the standings.
Milan beat Fiorentina at a packed Stadio San Siro and with 3 games to go to the end of the season, the Diavolo are in 1st place in Serie A with 77 points.
The Rossoneri once again won by a small margin, due to a 82′ minute goal from Rafael Leão, which came a week after a 92′ minute goal against Lazio.
“We are happy and I am happy. I’m tired [laughs] but we are happy and we have to continue,” Tomori told DAZN at the end of the match. “There are three games to go and we have to win.
“Only 8 goals conceded in 2022? We defend with the entire team, it is a pride not to concede so many goals: it helps us to win and we can continue like this. We hope to continue like this [laughs]. But the important thing is the three points.
“The fans at San Siro? When the stadium is full there is more emotion, they push us. We can play with more energy because the fans fire us up so much.”

Speaking to MilanTV, Tomori said: “Another clean sheet? Being a defender, I’m happy because you can always win when you don’t concede; we won today and we’re happy.
“The fans? It’s really emotional and our fans are really pushing us on. When the atmosphere is like that, we’re able to give more out on the pitch. We have more energy and more desire to win the match. We did this and we need to do this again in our next game.
“Another late goal? We won last week’s game in the 92nd minute. Although the minutes were ticking by today and we hadn’t scored, we continued to play and believe we could score. We did this and are happy. We need to keep going.”
“The next games? We’re excited and happy because we won. We’re top of the league and in a good position but it isn’t over. We need to win our next match and then we’ll see.”
