Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori and Rafael Leão are ready to play again as they trained normally today.

After beating Atlético Madrid 1-0 at Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday evening, Milan are set to return to Serie A and they’ll look to bounce back following their 4-3 defeat to Fiorentina last week.

Coach Stefano Pioli, who today extended his contract with Milan until 2023, got some good news from Milanello today

Maignan, who has been out since mid-October, Tomori, who has been out since last week, and Leão, who did not participate in the game against Atlético as he was not feeling 100%, are back at his disposal. All three completed the entire training session with the rest of the team today.

In fact, all three could even play against the beginning against Sassuolo on Sunday afternoon (15:00 CET) at San Siro, according to Milannews.it. In addition to them, Alessandro Florenzi could also play from the start. Milannews.it claims that he could start ahead of Pierre Kalulu in the role of the right-back. Davide Calabria is injured for another 2-3 weeks, and so Florenzi and Kalulu fight over a start.

There is still another important training session tomorrow to determine the starters. It remains to be seen what Pioli will do given the long-term injuries of Ante Rebić and Olivier Giroud.
