Leão could be rested against Spezia, Florenzi is expected to be available for Tuesday’s match with Atlético

Rafael Leão could start from the bench tomorrow, and there are two options to replace him, while Alessandro Florenzi is out against Spezia but it’s not serious.

Milan have had to deal with many injuries and absentees already this season and coach Stefano Pioli has not had a chance to work with his full squad.

In the list for the match against Spezia (tomorrow at 15:00 CET), it’s possible to find Davide Calabria and Olivier Giroud, who are back available after missing some games due to injuries, but Alessandro Florenzi is missing due to a physical problem.

As confirmed by Pioli on his presser, Florenzi took a knock to the knee and was unable to train today. However, according to Milannews.it’s Pietro Mazzara, the problem of Alessandro is nothing serious and he should be back available for Tuesday’s game against Atlético Madrid.

With the Champions League in the mind of Stefano, he could also decide to rest Rafael Leão tomorrow. According to Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano and Manuele Baiocchini, the Portuguese – who has been getting a lot of praise for his growth this season and who has been instrumental so far from the left wing – could therefore start on the bench and have a chance to catch his breath.

There are two solutions to replace Rafael: play Fodé Ballo-Touré in a more advanced role, or play Daniel Maldini there. Baiocchini claims that Maldini was tried in the starting XI in today’s training.

TONITE ON LIKE MILAN10 SAID “Milan10 1 year ago Reply to Rossi correctamundo mate. like i said, maldini is natural am and the thing about being am is that u have to be quick in the head and possess good passing skills and vision; an am doesnt necessarily need to be fast as some of the best am like veron, riquelme, effenberg, zidane or milan’s very own rivera, rui costa were not particularly fast players but they were really quick in the head and were skillful. and i think maldini has that in abundance” jesus christ on motorbike. this is… Read more »

Remember the nightmare of last season against them, that match we lost the first position. Let it be a lesson to Pioli that he should not underestimate them. Tomorrow is a much more important match than with A. Madrid (this season we should not have high expectations in the Champions League)

aw jeez, that u bonera’s dream? how many times do i have to teach u a lesson old boy? haha. seriously though, milan owe it to themselves, their history AND their fans to give their best in all 6 group matches of ucl. like i said, there’s very small margin of error in such high quality competition and such small amount of games compared to serie a. unlike napoli, atalanta and juve had bad start in serie a last season yet they finished top 4 above napoli. thats because there’s much bigger margin of error in league of 38 games.… Read more »

Exactly my point don’t outsmart yourself first experimental sake 3point is necessary rest players but not out of position so don’t suffer injury like kjaer had because of experiment
