Official: Brahim Díaz joins Milan from Real Madrid on a two-year loan deal

Brahim Díaz has officially returned to the Rossoneri, joining on a two-year deal.

Ever since the last season ended, it was clear that the intention of both Milan and Brahim is to continue together, as the Spaniard had a positive year on loan at the club last campaign.

Despite not having an option to buy, Milan got onto the negotiations table with Real Madrid and managed to work out a deal to bring Brahim back. Today, the official announcement was made:

“Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Brahim Abdelkader Díaz from Real Madrid CF on a temporary basis for two years. The contract ties the football player to the Rossoneri Club until 30 June 2023. Brahim, after scoring 7 goals in 39 appearances with Milan last season, will continue to be a Rossoneri player, wearing the number 10 jersey.”

The official statements of Milan and Real do not mention it, but it’s believed that the Diavolo have an option to buy for 22m at the end of the two-year deal, while Los Blancos retain a buy-back option for 27m. The club chose to give Brahim the #10 jersey, which was left vacant after the exit of Hakan Calhanoglu, who joined Inter as a free agent after his contract with Milan expired.

Brahim was at Casa Milan yesterday to sign the contract and today he’s already trained with the club.

10? This guy is a winger. Anyways, he can adapt, he is eager and full of talent. Welcome back Brahim, show the traitor how it’s done.

I recently read a statistics comparing our previous No. 10s. No matter how much we (including myself) dislike him now, statistically Calha was among the best, so I will keep myself from being too harsh on him..

Sad that in two years Real will get a developed player for 5M.

yeah, it’s not like he help us reach CL, Krunic and Castillejo are way better.

We should totally dismiss this deal and sign a player like him for 40m and hope for the best. Two years? what a short term solution

  1. Did I say that Krunic and Castillejo are better?
  2. Castillejo is put on sale, and Krunic is 5/6th man in CM position. What would you prefer Kamara and Bakayoko just warming bench in your Fifa Manager game?
  3. The deal is rigged unfairly towards us, they don’t even know what to do with him, but for some reason they can keep him for pennies. That was my point, not the bull [email protected], you typed…

1- My point exactly, he is better than Krunic as AM and Castillejo as RW.
2- Like it or not, Krunic and Castillejo are needed as bench warmers, we don’t have money to spend.
3- You don’t have a point, this deal is perfect for Milan. You don’t see that we got a great player for 3 years. Some players sign a deal for 3 years, we got that basically for free.

We got someone who is better than all of our RW for 5m.

none of you points answered that weird comment of yours. I said that him returning back to Real is a sad fact and we deserved a better deal. and the deal is at 3M, not 5M.

Unfair? We got a starter basically for free for three years.Trust me, if this wasn’t COVID era of football and Brahim was such a nice guy, he wouldn’t be at Milan.

Who gives you this kind of deal? FFS, what are your expectations?

We have two years to look for a replacement if Madrid puts a huge price tag on the man.

We are Milan but the boy’s dream is to be a starter in the merengues.

With the money saved on RW/AM we can hire someone else. This is great business by Maldini and co.

Now any one of these for the main N10 role: Nkunku, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Sabitzer, Pessina, van de Beek, Vlasic, Yazici, Castrovill.

regardless whether people like him or not he has been doing a fine job downsizing and thereby helping improve our finances. Had he not been here we would be in a heap of trouble financially speaking and even worse with the pandemic on top of that. Anyways wish him well and a speedy recovery.

I am happy someone understands the mess we were in when he took over. We are very lucky to have not gone bankrupt.

That certainly seems it could have been a real possibility had elliot management and gazzidis not been part of the club for the last few years and the pandemic probably would have been the final kiss of death so yeah their work really should be appreciated by the fans. Last season also proved that they are doing a fine job. Obviously we all want an ac milan team of the past signing big star names but for now this setup should suffice as the young team will most likely only improve in the coming years while also ending up with… Read more »

Why couldn’t milan find a better deal, we are just developing him for Madrid to snap up just like they did with morata when he was at juventus, I hope maldini has a plan

Martin Bernhard

juventus deffently got a better deal selling morata back to them as i remember them earning around ten mil but i think its largely down to that we are in a hurry to secure 2 number 10s. Add to that he will most likely end up as a substitute so we are pretty much getting a player for free for two years so we can invest in other parts of the squad easier and still have the opportunity to earn a bit of cash or get the player permanently in two years time. Milan might also in two years time… Read more »

We can refuse to sign him for 22M, which would mean he would have only 2 years left on his contract in the summer of 2023. He maybe play 1 year there, maybe not and then we buy him for pennies.

Even though he also has something to offer in football/ac milan knowledge ill agree he is mostly anoying and probably more than a handfull of users around here wouldn’t have any issues if he is gone for good but i really doubt thats the case as he has been frequenting this blog for years and i simply dont see him becoming an inter fan over night….on the other hand i might actually die laughing if someone can find some proof that he actually switched clubs because of hakan.

Off topic, but good for laughs… Saw it on Facebook…

Journalist: What is your goal in Paris?!

Donnarumma: I aspire to reach Messi’s level

Journalist: But 6 golden balls are difficult for a goalkeeper

Donnarumma: I mean the salary level

As much as i hate donnarumma nowadays i always saw him as a youth prospect as a potential messi’esque of the goal keepers but now i just see him as the top of the pile of traitors ive witnessed in the football history. Wouldnt even want him back again in 5-10 years time as ill never trust him again so cant really say i wish him well. When that is said he defently has talent but yeah i dont see him wining 6 golden balls either and maybe even one as i cant really remember any goal keepers wining that… Read more »
