Milan consider signing 19-year-old Santos striker Kaio Jorge, the contract of the Brazilian expires in December

Kaio Jorge is a target of Milan and there are two options on the table: sign him now or get him for free in January.

Milan will have Zlatan Ibrahimović and Olivier Giroud up front next season, but as Paolo Maldini admitted – they could add a young talent to the striker mix.

Kaio Jorge has been linked with Milan for quite some time and it appears that there is some genuine interest in the 19-year-old forward from Santos.

According to Antonio Vitiello of Milannews.it, the Diavolo are considering their options when it comes to Kaio. One option would be to wait until January and get him on a free transfer, as his contract expires in December 2021. The other option would be to make an attempt to sign him now.

The valuation of the player is around €10 million but the main issue is the commissions wanted by his agents, believed to be around €7m. Milannews.it report that Milan are working on both scenarios and thinking about what to do. The club is said to believe that Kaio Jorge fits the squad of Stefano Pioli and can be added to the first team immediately starting from the upcoming season.

Kaio has been at Santos his entire career, he’s made 79 appearances for the Brazilian club, scoring 16 goals. He’s also represented Brazil U15 and U17, winning the Bronze Boot at the U17 World Cup.

His market value is 12mil, so if his contract runs out in december as reported, 9mil is a lot considering he is almost a free player.

They want him for cheap now so they can only resell him for capital gain a year or two later. He wont get playing time, we all know how things go around here in this club.
