There’s no ending to the misery of Milan when it comes to injuries this season as Davide Calabria requires surgery.

Milan got Ismaël Bennacer and Zlatan Ibrahimović back from injury, but they can’t catch a break this season and the mountain of injuries just keeps growing.

The squad list provided by Milan for tonight’s match with Manchester United has a few notable absences, and information about the injured players was given on Thursday evening:

Davide Calabria: Following a trauma to his right knee in Manchester, he suffered a lesion to the medial meniscus that requires arthroscopic surgery scheduled for tomorrow, Friday March 19.

Ante Rebić: Has a flare-up of inflammation of the external obturator muscle in his right hip, a problem he’s already suffered from in recent weeks.

Rafael Leão: Not available due to a first degree lesion of the hamstring muscle of the left thigh.

Alessio Romagnoli: In yesterday’s training he suffered a first degree injury to the medial twin muscle of the left calf.

Mario Mandžukić and Daniel Maldini: Treatments for their respective muscle injuries are continuing.

In Samu’s defense, he played in 2018 against sassuolo as a false 9, and we actually won. Suso was on the right back then

A lot muscle injuries. This is clearly over training and poor fitness program which also includes the teams diet plan. Too often players were coming to training on their off days. I get the enthusiasm but the should respect the schedule and not train on their off days. Milan Lab is primarily at fault for this but I blame Pioli as well for allowing players to train on their off days. Milan Lab has been going down ever since Galliani fired Jean Pierre Meersseman blaming him for Pato injuries when the player was indiscipline with his diet and social lifestyle.… Read more »

Kessie and Meite are looking very solid and getting better the more they play together.

Really impressed with their partnership in midfield.

Something is definitely wrong with the training.. Almost all players have been injured in the last months. Even the young and less susceptible ones.
