Fikayo Tomori believes Milan could and should have beaten Manchester United and is still pleased with the draw.
Tomori has won himself a place in the starting XI of Milan after coming in January from Chelsea on loan with option to buy and last night he helped the team get a good 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16.
The 23-year-old Fikayo was partly at fault for the goal scored by Amad Diallo (50′) but overall – like his teammates – had a good showing alongside Simon Kjær who also scored the equalizer for Milan in the 92′ minute.
“We are happy, it’s a great result, we scored away and it’s positive, we remain focused. We would have deserved the win but we are happy,” Tomori told Sky Italia.
“Kjær’s goal? It’s important to score away from home, but we deserved nothing less. I think we could have also won as I said before.”
