Soualiho Meïté will very soon become a new Milan player, and the midfield of Stefano Pioli will be strengthened.
Milan have been searching for a midfielder with certain qualities to add more depth to a key department that was lacking in quantity and physicality.
Today (Thursday), they’ve closed the deal to bring Soualiho Meïté from Torino, who will be able to offer exactly that to coach Pioli and will allow Franck Kessié to catch his breath from time to time.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia and by Milannews.it, the 26-year-old – who will undergo his Milan medical in the upcoming days – is joining on loan for €0.5m with an option to buy set at €8 million plus bonuses, bringing the deal to a total of around €10 million.
The desire is to have Meïté already available for the match against Cagliari on Monday.
