Léo Duarte spoke to MilanTV at the end of the match vs Sparta, as he played 90 minutes for the first time in a while.
Duarte started from the first minute last night for the first time since November 2019 and he played a good match alongside debutant Pierre Kalulu, as the Rossoneri beat Sparta Prague 1-0 to win Group H of the Europa League.
The Brazilian center back got back from a serious injury at the start of the season and he’s the 4th choice defender behind Alessio Romagnoli, Simon Kjær and Matteo Gabbia. His future at Milan is uncertain, but he still had a good showing on Thursday at Generali Česká pojišťovna Arena.
“It’s an important win for us, we played a good game and once more we’ve proved we have lots of good players and I’m happy with this win,” Duarte told MilanTV. “Playing with Kalulu? He is young with great potential. We’ve been training together and he played a really good game today. I’m happy for him and hope he can continue like this.
“The second line of players? This group is made up of lots of strong players, not only the regular starting 11, but all 25-26 of us are really good players and we have the chance to come on and do well. Hauge? He’s very good, a great player. He has enormous potential.”
