Good news coming from Milanello today as Isma and Samu are back while the returns of Zlatan and Rafa are also close.
Milan will look to win again on Thursday and potentially secure their qualification from the Europa League Group Stage, as they take on Celtic at San Siro.
Stand-in coach Daniele Bonera got some good news today as Ismaël Bennacer, who on this day celebrates his 23rd birthday, and Samu Castillejo both trained normally with the rest of the squad today.
Bennacer missed the game against Fiorentina on Sunday due to a muscle fatigue, while Samu was out because of inflammation in his knee which he has now shaken off. Both players should be available for the game against Celtic which has the kickoff time of 18:55 CET.
Meanwhile, Milannews.it reports that yesterday Ibrahimović underwent a routine check-up to assess his recovery from the muscle problem he picked up against Napoli. Both Zlatan and Leão continue with personalized work and should return to working with the group soon. There is hope that Rafael will be available for next Sunday’s Serie A game against Sampdoria at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Stefano Pioli took another swab test today and the answer in regards to him should arrive tonight or tomorrow. The Milan coach has been out with COVID-19 since before the Napoli game.
Report has it that Calhanoglu and co are using claim of Man U interest in him as a ruse to influence MIlan decision. Also , it has been reported that he had agreed to reduce his demand by a million but MIlan management are maintaining their stand
I think Milan is in the right to not give him such a big sallary. We do need an upgrade in that position anyway, so this migh be a blessing in disguise. The problem is who will replace him, not many good AM on the market for our budget. Dominik Szobozlay is on his way to RB Laipzig in Germany to bad we didnt got him in the summer. And i dont think we will react fast enough to try and snatch him now, since we are still not sure if Hakan might stay or not he is draging the… Read more »
I want Leao to be the deputy of Ibra. Every time Ibra substituted or take a game rest, Leao come in. So he will have more chance to play, as LW and CF
Please try Hauge as AMC. He showed the courage to score against Milan from that position. Let Diaz play at LW/RW
I agree 100% . Hauge will be a beast in that position
I agree with you. Then we can let greedy Hakan go
Milan should buy a second striker if truly we have a focus and ambitious management
We truly need a striker and a defender because of the league and Europa
January is actually the winter period where
injury is common. Both Leão and Rebic are better in the flanks instead of top striker
When against Fiorentina, at first half, I saw Calha play at LW/AML and Diaz at AMC/SS. So there is only one playmaker in the center, Tonali. The formation looked like a 4411. We controlled the game and the result is 2-0. Not bad.
alrite, milanisti deserve to have better football knowledge so here goes. first of all, there is fundamental difference between an am/playmaker and winger/wingback. a playmaker job is mainly to control the game with his passing and vision, not to outrun or dribble around defenders, therefore a playmaker always ask for the ball and play with his head up because he always tries to scan the field to find holes in defence and spot teammates, whereas a winger/wingback’s main job is to explore and exploit empty spaces on the flanks with their positioning and speed + dribbling so they can send… Read more »
I agree for the most part but Hakan’s stats are extremely inflated. He has been lucky that a few wayward passes have been converted into chances. Also. His shots from outside the box almost never hit the target. And when they do they end up going to the defender and a counter begins. I have been paying close attention to him lately after hearing his 7 million euro demands and I have no issue letting him go flop in England somewhere. He is very selfish. Reminds me of Menez. Sure Menez lit up the stat shit but Menez also put… Read more »
“I agree for the most part but Hakan’s stats are extremely inflated. He has been lucky that a few wayward passes have been converted into chances” yeah, well, u’know, thats just like, uh, your opinion, man. it was his quick “wayward passes” that won milan the derby, among other matches. if his wayward passes rise milan game like this then im curious to see what he can do with his deliberate passes. regarding his shots, he’s actually the most accurate shooter of milan, a fantastic free kick and penalty kick taker. his stats could be better if ibra and theo… Read more »
also, like i said, ibra and hakan are 2 key players of pioli’s milan. the only time both of them didnt play was 1st half vs spezia and milan couldnt even score a goal. fact
