Lucas Paquetá has officially joined Olympique Lyonnais today after undergoing the medical and signing.
Paquetá joined Milan from Flamengo in January 2019 but failed to make his mark with the Rossoneri shirt, registering only 1 goal and 3 assists in over 40 games.
The Brazilian had no place in the squad of the Diavolo under Stefano Pioli and today his exit became official.
“Milan announces that the player Lucas Tolentino Coelho de Lima ‘Paquetá’ has joined Olympique Lyonnais on a permanent deal. The Club wishes him all the best in his future endeavours,” a statement on the Milan website reads. Today the player was in France and underwent the medical.
Since Lyon are a publicly-traded company, the numbers of the operation were made official: Lyon will pay €20m for the player, while the Rossoneri will also be entitled to 15% of a future resale.

All the best Paquetà. Hope you learn from your experience at Milan and grow into a world class player for Brazil which is my favorite national team outside of Jamaica and Holland.
I think in about 2-4 years he will go back to Brazil he hasnt developed at all since he arrived in Milan i dont think he has what it takes in my opinion because of his mentality he cant handle the pressure and he has issues with adapting to live in another country… But i hope it all works out for him
