Brahim Díaz spoke to Sportmediaset ahead of the season opener, saying ‘I want to help the team with my plays’.
Milan begin their Serie A campaign tomorrow at Stadio San Siro when they take on Bologna (20:45 CEST). The goal of the Diavolo is finishing in the Top 4 and return to the Champions League.
In order to make their chances of qualifying better, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have (so far) made three signings: the first of those was Brahim Díaz who arrived from Real Madrid on a one-season loan deal.
The 21-year-old, who can play as a trequartista or on the wings, spoke to Sportmediaset (as reported by Milannews.it):
Does being at Milan put pressure on you?
“Yes, of course, I like the pressure… Milan is a great club, there is this pressure: you have to win, you have to win titles. The truth is that I want to show everything here and be decisive and help the team with my plays.”
The jersey number…
“The number doesn’t play, I always say that, but to be honest I really like the number 10. I had it as a kid, but I also like 21 a lot. I had it at Real Madrid and this year I wanted to carry it on my shoulders also here with a lot of work and a lot of sacrifice in this club that is Milan.”
“He is an incredible player and I can say the same thing of him as a person.”
“We’ll see game by game and we try to conquer everything together to win what we can win. With this mixture of experienced and young players we can do great things.”
