Ciprian Tătăruşanu has given his first interview as a Milan player.
Tătăruşanu signed a three-year contract with the Rossoneri yesterday and on Saturday he was announced as the third signing of Milan in the summer mercato.
On Friday, the 34-year-old Romania international had his medical at La Madonnina Clinic, had a tour at Mondo Milan Museum and finally signed the contract at Casa Milan. Afterwards, he also sat down to talk with MilanTV:
What are your expectations?
“From this new adventure with Milan, I expect to be playing good football and to be a part of a really strong squad and to finish higher in the table than last season.”
How much experience do you bring to the squad?
“I think I can help bring balance to the squad, because it’s currently very young and I think I can help with that.”
What do you think of Gigio?
“Well, like the whole world, in the beginning no one knew who he was but he immediately proved to be up to playing for a club like Milan. Now he’s more experienced and even stronger. I hope to get on well with him.”
You are both excellent penalty savers…
“You can only save penalties if you work on it in training: when normal training is over, you stay behind and work even more.”
Have you spoken to coach Pioli?
“Yes, I’ve spoken to the coach, he welcomed me to the club and told me he was happy to be working together again and he can’t wait for me to join the squad in training.”
You’ll be reuniting with Ante Rebić…
“Yes, we played together at Fiorentina but we didn’t stay in touch. I’m curious to see him and talk to him again.”
Training with Ibrahimović…
“It’s certainly better to be on the same team as players who shoot very well, that way things are easier in matches…”
You’ve also got an appointment with your national team…
“The national team is important for everyone who plays for their country, we’ve started preparing for the World Cup, we had two very good games and I hope we continue.”
Your message to the Milan fans…
“Hi all, I’m proud to be here, I can’t wait to see you at the stadium. Forza Milan!”
