Milan will face Sandro Tonali’s ex-club Brescia on September 12, in their last match before the Europa League qualifier against Shamrock Rovers.
The Rossoneri played three friendlies in this pre-season, beating Novara 4-2, Monza 4-1 and Vicenza 5-1.
Stefano Pioli has barely had the time to work with his full squad, as Primavera players were heavily featured during the last friendlies as a result of injuries and absences related to international matches.
However, on September 17 Pioli and his boys will have to play a Europa League 2nd round elimination match against Shamrock Rovers. To better prepare, Milan have scheduled one more friendly. Initially the game was supposed to take place at Milanello on Saturday against Chievo. However, three Chievo players have tested positive for COVID19 and so the game has been cancelled.
Instead, Milan will be facing Brescia – the team Sandro Tonali has arrived from. In fact, the new Rossoneri #8 is expected to make his unofficial debut against his former club, on Saturday.
