Brahim Díaz will be a Milan player in a few days, but apparently there isn’t an option to buy in the contract.
Milan have renewed the contract of Zlatan Ibrahimović and have secured the signing of Sandro Tonali from Brescia (medical should take place this weekend).
Now the Diavolo are close to concluding the deal for Brahim Díaz. After days of dealing with Real Madrid for weeks, an agreement has been struck.
In fact, as reported by Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio and others, Milan and Real Madrid are now in the last phase of the negotiations – exchanging the documents. The arrival in Italy of the 21-year-old is being organized: a Coronavirus test, medical check-ups at La Madonnina and then the signing.
Initially it was said that the formula will be that of a loan with option to buy and the Spanish El Transistor reported last night that the option is for €18 million. However, according to Di Marzio, there is no buy option for Milan right now. Instead, the clubs agreed to discuss a possible option in the future, similar to what the Diavolo did with Eintracht in the deal for Ante Rebić last summer.
Brahim would give Stefano Pioli even more options up front, as he’s capable of playing with both feet and can occupy the roles of a right winger, attacking midfielder and left winger. The official is close.

I see we are close to getting chiesa. This is incredible. We are finally going to have speed on this team
Chiesa is juicy news. Not going to be easy negotiating the speculated deal as per the media. Florentina are always playing hard in every transfer for every team.
But our priority next should be a CB. Honestly, Gabbia is still learning. Duarte is injury prone, wouldn’t gamble on him next season. Musa might leave but even if he stays – the amount of mistakes he makes is ridiculous + injury problems. We need a solid CB who can guide the defense in case Kjaer or Romagnoli are unavailable.
Tonali,Diaz,Baka,Ibra. We’re set for the attack and mid honestly.
What I read is that Milan will offer paqueta plus 20 mil cash with 10 mil in bonuses. Don’t see why fiori will say no when the dean is 5 mil more than what they are asking for. As for cb gabbia is still learning but he played very well for just being thrust into the action
If Paqueta swap really happens. After 4 deals we would be in -20M. Musacchio, Krunic, Halilovic and Castillejo have to be then sold which would give us 27M, hopefully. with 30M extra transfer budget we will have 37M to buy CB and 2nd choice GK.
Exactly, I would stick with Donnas older brother for now, he’s actually decent. As for a cb, is rather use gabbia. I’d ya that money to get domink. He can do everything hakan can, plus he has speed and quickness. Something hakan doesn’t have.
Totally agree about Dominik Szoboszlai . . Don’t know why Milan wouldn’t even brook the thought of him . .
Or why other major clubs are yet to snap him up . .
But he looks very promising . .
Castillejo to be sold ? … Why ?
Nah samu can stay. If anything salemakers could go. We would be good with chiesa and samu on the right
Chiesa, Castillejo, and Saelemaekers on right??? Even Brahim can play right wing, why do we need 3?
This is meaning that next year we’re looking again for a playmaker, because if Diaz explodes it’s clear that Real will buy him back just like did with Morata, or Barca with Deulofeu. This is an affair for the FFP rules, to allow them to have a substitute in case of Paqueta leaving, but we need in that position someone for the future, for our future
Let’s wait for the actual numbers. It seems like a good deal, although the buy back clause spoils it a bit.
In any case, even if Real buys back, it would mean pure capital gain which is still much needed.
Let’s hope that this clause is at least 15-20m higher than the option to buy. Then it would be a great deal.
It’s now reported that it will be a dry loan.Mehh… Kind of disappointing. That’s clearly on Real’s benefit.
Plus, such deals are rarely successful. Milan will only “use” the player, not invest on his development.
But let’s wait for the official statements.
A big thanks to maldini and others along with the coach as well as the players too..
Im still waiting for Ashraf to say Diaz is a shitt player…. and everyone else we’re going to sign…
Actually they are not my players my players are Allan, kante, Jerome boga, van de Beek,
Ofcourse, share your Football Manager profile please.
Jorgen klop pep guadiola gasberini
so apparently according to many sources its dry loan after all. i certainly hope its not true but if maldini is smart (which im sure he is) he will see it as blessing in disguise; milan will have quality am/winger for a year for a cheap price before milan can go full on assault on chiesa next summer mercato (by then chiesa will only have 1 yr left in his contract hence much cheaper price). im all for getting solid goalscoring winger/ss like chiesa but if <50m can get u sane, werner, van de beek, ziyech, kulusevski etc then there’s… Read more »
Your forgetting the best home grown players always cost a lot no matter what league you play in. Chiesa is a regular Italy international player and despite fiori a recent struggles, they are usually a goof team. His price set at 50 sounds about right. It would be stupid to wait till next year when this year we need him
I don’t see how Chiesa is worth more than Tonali, but maybe it’s just me.
You gotta remember fiori is better team than Brescia. Also chiesa has been a regular in the national team. That’s how it always works
thats not how it works. man utd were and always have been bigger club than tottenham but madrid paid more for bale than for cr7, because cr7 were pushing for transfer. mbappe was also more expensive than pogba and martial even though he wasnt already regular for france, unlike those 2
That’s bc bale was in the epl and all those players are over hyped. Plus only a fool would undersell when Madrid is coming for a player. Bale isn’t worth more than 50 as well but with today’s inflated market, everyone who’s good cost more than they actually are worth. To me, unless you win balon d or, your value shouldn’t even be 50 mil since none of these players except for Messi and Ronaldo, are on the level of kaka or the rest of our Milan greats. Mbappe also cost more than pogba bc of the position he plays.… Read more »
because bale was in epl? so cr7 played in iraq before madrid bought him? bale was more expensive because greedy levy was unwilling to sell, much like commisso whereas cr7 himself forced his transfer to madrid. its very similar to tonali and chiesa situation, which proves my point. also, mbappe was more expensive than lacazette and martial, both st, because he’s simply that good even though by then he hadnt had many caps with france nt. look, i want chiesa to come to milan too. ffs i use sterling – griezmann – chiesa combo up front on pes mobile game/app… Read more »
where does it say milan should always get home grown players? hell, all ballon d’or winners of milan except rivera have always been foreigners. what milan REALLY need are dm and rw, not chiesa specifically. thauvin just got back from injury and scored. depay even scored hattrick. hakimi and sane are world class. these players dont cost as much as chiesa. deulofeu too. even thiago alcantara is only 35m rated. tonali deal was relatively easy because tonali himself pushed for the move thus it created sense of urgency for brescia to sell at fair price. if milan entertain and indulge… Read more »
A dry loan with a gentleman’s agreement that they can discuss a future sale. It was first reported an option for 20m and a buy back option for 40m.so double the price which is good.
that buy back option for 40m was what maldini wanted but madrid asked for 25m, thats why the option to buy deal fell through. damn shame. personally i think 30m – 35m would’ve sufficed but maybe maldini considers brahim diaz to be short term fix before he actually buys permanent rw like chiesa or depay in the future.
im 100% sure theo hernandez transfer has traumatized madrid haha
Please depay is almost gone,we would find another
Diaz will be used only for wildcard. Off the topic, i saw a Montolivo or Aquilani in Tonali’s playing style. Did anyone agree with me?
Don’t make us see a bad dream tonight..
actually monto was actually pretty good at fiorentina. they should’ve beaten bayern in ucl if it wasnt for that ridiculous offside by at least 1 m goal. knee injuries messed him up, like it messes many players before and after him but the fact is prime monto was pretty good. tonali is on whole different level though
I see Diaz more as a trequarista than as a winger, someone to challenge Hakan. The kid is definitely talented, but his slim physique worries me a bit. Let’s hope he can cope with the physical pressing style so many teams like to play against us.
Ibra will guide him
Definitely!
Enough cover for the upfront. No need to rush for Chiesa. Ibra will pull out the best of his teammates including Samu and Saelemaekers.
Nah we need chiesa this year. Your forgetting how slow our right side is and the lack of goals that come from that side. Chiesa can over us not just creativity, but goals as well.
I disagree
So you want our team to be slow asf with no goals and few assist coming from the right side? Chiesa on a pathetic fiori had 10 goals. Add those goals to Milan and we will be in a good position
Forget chiesa let’s try an get nerez kid is absolutely brilliant he would be perfect for our rw
I also like neres a lot. I’d look at him and adama traore from wolves as well
This guy is very overrated, taking him on dry loan is even more stupid, I don’t know why Maldini agreed to this, even if he performed, Madrid will raise the stakes so high that we will have to give him back to them, this deal just doesn’t sit well
We could have gotten miranchuk (Atalanta have him now and I Ann sure that guy will make us regret loosing out on him) or even szoboslai who have more experience and tactically suitable to our formation than Brahmin Diaz
I don’t like this deal at all
I agree with you. I would have taken domink SZ over Diaz. We need a better atm that’s an upgrade to hakan. After chiesa we should go for him and a cb
It really seems a lot of people here don’t understand how transfers work. If you don’t come to terms with the player there is no point in dealing with the team. In SZ case. He didn’t want to come to Italy. He’s on record saying as much. So while it’s easy to sit here and say “go get this guy” that’s not how it works. This isn’t fifa where you up the money and the person agrees. This is real life.
To my knowledge he didnt infact say he didnt want to play in italy but that he would like to stay with salzburg for another year. When that is said i agree with your assessment that it isnt as easy to just bring in this and that player as it might seem.
https://thelaziali.com/2020/05/01/dominik-szoboszlai-serie-a-interesting-league/
My bad he said Italy was interesting but so were England and Germany. Doesn’t sound like someone convinced to come. So it wouldn’t be an easy transfer. That’s all I’m saying. Everyone has opinions saying let’s just bring him in. It doesn’t work like that in the real world.
No problem and yeah its deffently more complicated than many people think.
If Milan or MU came with an offer do u think he would have rejected it ? He didn’t have offers
He propably would have accepted such offers but im just saying the quotation propably wasnt exactly spot on from what i recollect, In the end though at the age of 19 a year more in salzburg will propably not be a bad thing even though i’d welcome him with open arms if he was to join us now.
The problem with waiting is we all know Milan’s financial situation. 25 mil is a steal and you know his price will only go up.
Thats the strange thing as he apparently has a buyout clause set at 25 mil and at some point it was even reported it was payable over 3 installments. If thats really the case well then i really dont understand why we or other clubs havent bagged a deal yet but on the other hand it would explain that he actually wanted to stay with salzburg an extra year..
Exactly, I guarantee if Milan put in a request he would say yes. It’s not like Milan is a mid table team.
Dominik sz upgrade to hakan ? Ha ha ha ! What kind of football are u watching at ? He is a talented young player unable to transfer after his best season in Salzburg at a better team. This means he is not ready yet for a big team. Hakan is top class !
I’m watching what attributes the players have. Hakan is very average. Anyone can make the passes and goals he scored. Hakan has no dribbling speed! Every big team has a atm that can dribble besides the other things hakan can do. So yes, he’s an upgrade my guy

Nice and on paper soft start until matchday 4. 9 points certainly isnt too much to ask for after the first 3 games so couldnt really ask for a much better fixture.
Again cagliari and atalanta in the final games
Like clockwork . . They must’ve done some copy pasting . .
Hmmm. Only Napoli away in terms of “Top” team in first half. Easy first half of season. Very difficult Second half. We better get away to a good start.
