Brahim DÃaz’s move to Milan is taken for granted in Madrid but there are disagreements in the Spanish and Italian media over whether there will be buy-out and buy-back clauses.
Milan have been working on three main fronts: trying to sign Tiémoué Bakayoko and Sandro Tonali, as well as negotiating with Real Madrid over Brahim DÃaz.
Brahim, who grew up in Malaga and later moved to Manchester City, before returning to Spain to wear the Real Madrid shirt, has been with Los Blancos for two seasons. He’s found limited space, playing just 21 games and scoring 2 goals and is therefore looking for a move in order to get more minutes ahead of the Olympic Games in 2021 and the U21 EURO with Spain next summer.
As reported by Pietro Balzano Prota, Radio Rossonera’s Simone Cristao, Vito Angelè and the Spanish MARCA, Brahim is practically one step away from joining Milan. Prota and Cristao even suggest that the 21-year-old will land in Italy next week with a medical at La Madonnina set to be scheduled.
While everyone in Italy and Spain seem to agree with Brahim will play in Red and Black next season, the formula of the transfer. MARCA write that DÃaz is coming on a dry loan – with no option to buy, while Prota believes it’d be a loan with option to buy and a buy-back option for Real Madrid in the future. Angelè meanwhile also claims there will be a buy option, but doesn’t mention a buy-back.
The Spaniard is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder as well as on both wings and he will allow Stefano Pioli to have more options up front. The official announcement is close.

I am not sure how I feel about a dry loan… Sounds like a good deal for the player and Real but a bad one for us… I would not accept that formula. Waste of time.
I have mix feelings about this I only hope that it works out. Is Brahim DÃaz a better option than Rodrigo de Paul or Dominik Szoboszlai ?
I don’t think so but Brahim is definitely the cheaper option. Only time will tell if Milan made the right gamble.
Also Milan should seriously sign Denzel Dumfries. He’s captain of PSV and he’s good defensively and offensively. Also a starter for the Netherlands.
Szobozlai is the next big thing i hope we get him in the future his release clause is only 25mil which is a steal on todays market. I see we are going for Tonali now for 38mil, back when i said we should get him his cost was only 7-8mils. I hope we wont make the same mistake with Szobozlai cause he will cost way more than 38mil in the future. His main position is attacking mid tho not a winger. Brahim is a good addition as well, even that is only a loan he will give us some depth… Read more »
I was hoping for an upgrade for Castellijo. Not sure what Milan plans are but signing Chiesa and Denzel Dumfries would definitely improve our right side.
I think the signing of Brahim Diaz is more a backup for Calhanoglu so Szoboszlai will not arrive.
Next signings will be Bakayoko, Tonali, CB and RW.
Agree that Brahim will give us depth, both right and left
Szloboszlai is LM/CM like player. I’d rather have Oscar Rodriguez, Carles Alena, and Paqueta than Brahim Diaz. And we 100% need to get Pessina. Tonali and Bakayoko for 10-15M loan deals and then look for CB, RW and LB. Milenkovic, Upamecano, or Kumbala for CB and Chiesa, Orsolini or Berardi for RW position.
Let’s hope it’s a loan with option to buy otherwise it’s going to be waste of Milan’s time and will just develop the player for Real. I read online that’s what the articles say that Milan will develop Diaz for Real and then they have a good player . I don’t believe that Maldini will accept something like that and should be 15-20 mil option to buy from real even though real will have a 50 mil option. Is still better than nothing for Milan . Bakayoko is good but what I understand from Milan intentions with him is that… Read more »
If diaz arrives, its more likely he’ll play on the wings while leao will be ibra’s back up, so a new striker wont be coming in.
So we will have:
– ST: Ibra & leao
– AMC: Hakan & paqueta
– LW: Rebic & BRAHIM DIAZ (loan)
– RW: Castillejo & saelesmaekers
– MC: Bennacer, kessie, TONALI, BAKAYOKO (both loan), pobega
– DC: Romag, kjaer, duarte, gabbia
– DR: Conti, calabria
– DL: Theo, MYKOLENKO (fee)
– GK: Donna, BEGOVIC (free)
IMO, these are the best minimum amount of transfers we can get during these hard time.
Brahim is AMC, I guess?! Paqueta will be once again used in order to lower Chiesa and/or Milenkovic deals. Leao will have more of a LW role, with Colombo subbing Ibra. Bravo > Begovic?
Colombo subbing Ibra ? Are u serious ? Ibra is a top class, who is Colombo ? He’s a youth player, he didn’t prove anything yet ! When Ibra is out one of Rebic or Leao will take his place. Probably Paqueta will remain and Diaz will be a jolly, he plays the same all the positions !
Brahim has very good potentials to be the next Isco, if he gets proper time n proper position on the pitch…. In 4231 system i think he is going to rock next season like Theo did for us
Rea
Really hope so mate.
Are there going to be an option to buy for Diaz ? Or are we going to developing him for Real ? I really hope he comes with an option otherwise better stay on the bench in Spain
