Sandro Tonali is a target of Milan but a deal will be very hard to complete according to reports.
Milan started preparing for next season this week, with Stefano Pioli and his squad training at Milanello. Apart from Pierre Kalulu and the returning Tommaso Pobega, there haven’t been any new faces in the training facility, but Maldini and Massara are working on some fronts.
Pioli made it clear at the end of the last season that he wants to have 4 starters in his midfield, and so Milan are working to get him reinforcements and alternatives to Franck Kessié and Ismaël Bennacer.
In addition to Tiémoué Bakayoko, who is a known target for Milan – as confirmed by Maldini, it is said that the Diavolo are also working to sign Sandro Tonali of Brescia. Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported this story this week that Milan made an official bid that was rejected, but talks are ongoing.
As reported by Milannews.it on Thursday, the negotiations for Tonali are very complex, due to the demands of Brescia and also the fact that Inter are very much ahead of Milan and apparently already have the OK of the player and a general agreement with Brescia. The Nerazzurri seem to have stalled on the deal in the last days and this is why Milan are trying to insert themselves in the conversation.
Tonali is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Italy and his price will be in accordance. More updates are expected in the next days; Maldini would like to give the 20-year-old to Pioli.
