Milan are reportedly in talks with Brescia for Tonali, but negotiations are difficult and Inter have an advantage

Sandro Tonali is a target of Milan but a deal will be very hard to complete according to reports.

Milan started preparing for next season this week, with Stefano Pioli and his squad training at Milanello. Apart from Pierre Kalulu and the returning Tommaso Pobega, there haven’t been any new faces in the training facility, but Maldini and Massara are working on some fronts.

Pioli made it clear at the end of the last season that he wants to have 4 starters in his midfield, and so Milan are working to get him reinforcements and alternatives to Franck Kessié and Ismaël Bennacer.

In addition to Tiémoué Bakayoko, who is a known target for Milan – as confirmed by Maldini, it is said that the Diavolo are also working to sign Sandro Tonali of Brescia. Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported this story this week that Milan made an official bid that was rejected, but talks are ongoing.

As reported by Milannews.it on Thursday, the negotiations for Tonali are very complex, due to the demands of Brescia and also the fact that Inter are very much ahead of Milan and apparently already have the OK of the player and a general agreement with Brescia. The Nerazzurri seem to have stalled on the deal in the last days and this is why Milan are trying to insert themselves in the conversation.

Tonali is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Italy and his price will be in accordance. More updates are expected in the next days; Maldini would like to give the 20-year-old to Pioli.

If at all possible then Tonali should be a high priority signing for Milan. There can be no question about it.

Yes we should go for him now but we all know if he goes to Inter he’ll end up crossing over anyway 😉

We should have gotten him last year when we had the chance. I like bennacer and kessie duo but who sits out for tonali? Also there’s no way tonali comes off the bench, he’s too good. We would have to switch formations to use all 3. What do y’all think? I’m American but I also know the importance of having good Italians on the team. Right now we look like an epl team. Just saying ‍♂️

You are forgetting Albertini, Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini etc etc, but that is reasonable if you compare with the biggest stars, BUT, you simply cannot pass over Lord Bonera, mate.

im not forgetting them but to be perfectly honest, with all due respect, they’re nowhere near dutch trio, grenoli trio, and those ballon d’or winners or nominees like savicevic, weah, kaka, sheva etc. u cant say rino, ambro were better than rijkaard the ballon d’or nominee simply because theyre italians cant u? the less said about rubentus coach the better

If Tonali arrives he will have to compete with Bennacer as Pioli will not change formation to accommodate him. That would be foolish especially given our good form using 4231.

There’s plenty of games this season and the team will be more competitive as no player should get comfortable or think they are untouchable.

In the 92-93 season Milan had Albertini, Rijkaard, Boban, Donadoni, Eranio, Evani, de Napoli and Savicevic playing for a starting role in midfield. They all played their part and they became part of legendary squad.

This Milan team undefeated from 1991-93.

I have no doubt that Tonali will join Inter, because our club cannot afford his price now!
Everybody know MassaDini only have 30M transfer budget and we need players for 4 positions (1CB, 1RB/LB, 1CM and 1AMR). Unfortunately, we cannot offload any inconsistent player to make more money until now, hazz.
Time will tell but I think it’s too hard to MassaDini to complete their job with young, talent and cheap players. Love Milan and MassaDini!

Baka loan, Diaz loan, RB just opportunity, LB also, CB also, so all the money can be invested in a player !

Tonali is young and prospective, but he didn’t impress me last year in his first serie a season, he was mediocre in my oppinion. Kessie, Bennacer and Bakayoko will be the starters to rotate. He can develop at a good team, but regarding what he played last year I have marks of question. Pobega developed a lot last year in serie B, maybe he deserves the four spot in our midfield

Pobega is similar to Tonalli…. So u shouldn’t waste our scanty budget money on him….

Inter already waste more than 60 million for Sensi & Berella…. We should keep this example before buying this kind of young player….. We r in need of a lethal RW n strong energetic RB…. After this 2 we should focus on Midfield n Defence, coz Pobega n Breciannini is already there n they r gonna explosive this year… So after purchase agreement for RW n RB then we should go for 1 mid ,1 CB n 1 AM

Much stronger Pobega, more attacking stile, like Kessie, Tonali is more defensive and tackling boy, but with good technique, a kind of mix beetween Gattuso, Pirlo, Albertini, a little tackling, a little shot power, a little elegance and a little grinta, a little from all of them. If they can bring him, it’s fine, he will develop, if not, with Bakayoko and Pobega we’re ok

Ya, that’s it bro…. But he shouldn’t priced over 20 million right now according to his last year performance …. He has a bright football future & and he is young..in that point, we can spend 25 million but not a single euro more than that…. .

If Baka in, I think we should prioritize to RB and a winger. Pobega and Baka is enough. Don’t forget we still have Brescianni and Paqueta. Brahim Dias is a good choice for the winger since he can play both sides.
