Emerson and Marc Roca have emerged as targets of Milan in the last few days and yesterday there was a meeting with their representatives.
There are two more games left until the end of the season and the Rossoneri are still fighting over 5th place with Roma.
However, after confirming Stefano Pioli as the coach for next season, the management is also starting to think about the mercato and improving the squad for next season.
One of the main positions to strengthen is definitely that of the right back. Andrea Conti and Davide Calabria have both had inconsistent seasons and a new fullback will most likely arrive in this summer. As reported by Milannews.it and others, Emerson of Real Betis is one of the top targets for this role.
Yesterday (Friday), there was a meeting at Casa Milan between the directors of Milan and the agents Graziano Battistini and Sebastiano Salaroli, who work for the agency Promoesport that represents Emerson among others. The 21-year-old is owned by Barcelona, who according to Milannews.it and to RadioRossonera’s Simone Cristao value him at €30 million – a figure Milan deem too high. Cristao, echoed by Pietro Balzano Prota, claims that Milan are willing to put €22-23 million on the plate for the right-back and the agents are working on the differences.
Another player represented by Promoesport and has the interest of Milan is Marc Roca of Espanyol. The central midfielder could be an interesting profile for the Rossoneri who need an alternative for Franck Kessié and Ismaël Bennacer. Lucas Biglia will leave the club and Milan need more midfielders.
Espanyol got relegated this season and so the price of Roca could be favorable. The last players Milan got from a relegated side are Bennacer and Rade Krunić, both arriving from Empoli.
