Matteo Gabbia has signed an extension, tying him to the club until 2024.
Gabbia made his Serie A debut in the 1-0 win over Torino 11 days ago, and had his first start in the first division last Saturday, in the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina.
Gabbia grew up in the Youth Sector of the Diavolo and he’s been with the first team for a while. Over the last weeks he’s shown his quality and today the club awarded him a new deal.
“Milan is delighted to announce that Matteo Gabbia has signed a contract extension until June 30, 2024. Matteo, who grew up in Milan Youth Sector, is therefore continuing his own story with the Rossoneri shirt!” a statement on the website of the Rossoneri reads.
Gabbia is expected to start alongside Romagnoli also on Sunday, when the Diavolo take on Genoa at Stadio San Siro; the game will be played behind closed-doors due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
