Ricardo Rodríguez has left Milan in hope to get more playing time in Holland.

Ricardo Rodríguez lost his place in the starting XI this season due to the brilliant performances of Theo Hernandez.

Rodríguez, whose contract with the Rossoneri expires in 2021, has decided to leave Milan this January and after holding talks with Fenerbahçe and Napoli, he’s signed with PSV Eindhoven.

“Milan announces that Ricardo Rodríguez has joined PSV Eindhoven on a temporary basis. The Club wishes the player all the best for the rest of the season,” a statement on the club’s website reads.

PSV’s statements reads: “PSV have strengthened their squad by completing the signing of the experienced full left-back Ricardo Rodríguez. On Thursday evening, the 27-year-old, who has won 71 caps for Switzerland, put pen to paper on a loan deal that will keep him at PSV until the end of the season. “

In two and a half seasons at Milan, Ricardo Rodríguez played 92 games and scored 4 goals. With the EURO’s coming up, he will look to get more playing time.

Yeah i agree Nästa, i think he deffensively is at the level of theo and maybe even a bit better but theo is just superior in the offensive phase and thereby overall can offer the team so much more than rodriguez. He did pretty well though for us most of the time but with theo arround he just wont get back in the starting lineup.

He was not defensively that strong. And offensively completely useless. Good riddance. Basically every player that those clowns mirabelli and fassone bought have been a let down and average at best. Next we need to sell Turkish kebab and Kessie tired leg for a good price hopefully. Conti and mustachio need to go too. Complete overhaul in the summer with new management and a world class coach. Otherwise we will end up mid table again and agian and again…

He was overall defensively solid and sound, not bad technicaly and tactically. Just not too adventurous in the final third. Probably he understands his strengths and limits, which makes him smart. A total professional too. I was never a fan of him, but hey, he got my respect.
