Milan are reportedly trying to secure Olmo for the summer, the Rossoneri are willing to spend €20m on the Spaniard

There are conflicting reports over Dani Olmo as while some claim that he could arrive already in January, others suggest that Milan is looking to get him in June.

A report on the Croatian website Sportske Novosti unleashed a bombshell on Wednesday evening, suggesting that Milan and Dinamo Zagreb are in advanced negotiations for their top star Dani Olmo and that the player is expected to accept the destination of Milan as well.

The news made their way to Italy, where at first confirmations were not found. When asked about the existence of the negotiations, the Diavolo and Dinamo denied everything.

However, as reported by Pietro Balzano Prota of Radio Rossonera and by others, there is something there. Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia reports that while the interest for January had been the denied, the interest for June was not, and contacts have been made with Dani’s agents.

Di Marzio claims that the goal is to find an agreement to sign Olmo in the summer, when he’ll have just one year left on his contract. Dinamo Zagreb want €30m for the 21-year-old, while the Rossoneri would like to spend about €20m. The idea of Milan is to first get the ‘yes’ of the player and then go ahead and agree on the terms of the transfer with Dinamo, where Zvone Boban started his career.

Olmo has expressed desire to leave Dinamo several times as he believes it’s time for him to take the next step. Milan could absolutely use someone with Dani’s qualities. Updates are expected.

Now the ride begins ! Join us on a 6 months ride of rumors and talks and “almost done deals” for Dani Olmo. With a lot of “loan with option to buy refused” and the “They ask for 25M , but Milan are willing to get him for 20M” Oh and fans favorite “the player wants 3M salary while Milan’s best offer has been 100$” Till we finally get to see the player sign the deal , it is the moment fans have been waiting for for 6 months , the player just signed a 5 years contract !! unfortunately… Read more »

This would be a very good move for us. Olmo can play on the left in 4-4-2, just what we need, and if we switch back to 4-3-3 he can also play as an AM (his natural position), he is a versitile player, offers speed and creativity plus long range shoots. Even 30mil would be a good investment, he is one of the most promising young players at the moment. Its better to get him now in January, Milan has been scouting him for almost 3years there is no reason to wait more.

There are mouth watering news going around that we want to buy this guy. I don’t know the intention of the management now. One thing I believe is that if we don’t add quality to our squad, we won’t make top four. Who can we wave aside among Lazio, Inter, Atlanta and Roma. These people are already occupying our target positions and it will require almost a faultless second half to dethrone any one of them . Let’s not sniff at good players . Let’s not waste time on this guy. Tomorrow maybe late. Enough of average players ! Even… Read more »

Good news but I hope he comes in January so that Pioli can stop using Calhanoglu as winger. For some unknown reason every coach at Milan thinks that Calhanoglu is a good player and a winger. SMDH

lecce match and few other matches showed that hakan is actually good player when playing more centrally. he’s not ozil but he’s not borivaldo either. he should play as 3/4ista in 4-3-1-2 or dont play him at all. remember honda? he was also victim of coaches playing him outta position as winger. he, like hakan, was slow but he had vision and passing range but he, like hakan, rarely ever got the chance to show that he could be #10. if roma want him then surely he’s not that bad.

I don’t know, I find it hard to get my head around seeing Calhanoglu in a #10 shirt after Savicevic, Boban, Costa, Seedorf, etc. but I guess those days are gone. Now we get Honda and the freekick kid. I’d give it to Olmo instead when he turns up.

well, put it this way mate: u cant compare a5 kobe beef with meat u find inside burger from mcd. u spend 20m on a #10, supposedly traditionally the most skillful player in the squad, then u get hacan’t quality. back then berlu really broke the bank to buy rui costa and gullit, like juve are doing now, and he got real ucl winning quality. so yeah, milan should cough up serious money (say 40-50m), only THEN they can get quality #10 like ceballos or fabian ruiz

i saw matic vs wolves and some other matches this season and he surely is still solid dm and his offensive off the ball movement is much better than kessie’s. the downside is, he’s slow and is already on the wrong side of 30. should milan get him? if he can come for <25m then sure, because he could be useful for when milan need to be defensive, an ambrosini 2.0. more than that, hell no. i’ve watched several brescia and udinese matches this season and if mf should come to milan its tonali and/or de paul. de paul is… Read more »

Who’s job to score when we’re playing 433 we r playing 3 attackers or 3 strikers when slatan hold the ball hakan must be in position of slatan like mane firmino and Salah sometimes Salah or mane score more than firmino any quality n10 suppose to score above 10 and assist above 15 in season

like i said, hakan isnt lw so its not really his fault he performed badly on left flank. his style is so different to high scoring lw like mane, neymar, rivaldo, cr7, hazard etc. its not even close. also, #10 should provide assists yes but scoring > 10 goals/season? not everyone is platini/zico/totti/kaka u know

You can’t be serious? Which big match did Calhanoglu perform well in? Stop lowering your standards mate.

Çalhanoğlu is not a quality player for a big club like Milan not even as a trequartista.

He would definitely not be a starter for any top team in Europe.

im not lowering my standards mate, i call it like it is: he does better when playing more centrally, so play him as am or dont play him at all. like i said, he can be useful squad player (why else would arsenal and roma want him?) because he’s not borivaldo level bad. i saw him at leverkusen and he was never this bad because he always played centrally, his natural position. i also saw him perform fairly well as de facto am during match vs lecce (pioli’s debut). u’ll see real him when he plays more centrally, be it… Read more »

Calhanoglu’s performance against bottom dwellers Leece is NOTHING to write home about. He is more INEFFECTIVE than Suso and if I had a choice to sell him or Suso I would not think twice to sell Calhanoglu. He has never done anything to change the outcome of a game and he has never had any positive influence on the team especially from a losing position. Castellijo and Suso have done way more than Calhanoglu and I can’t even see what Pioli or anybody see in him. Playing Calhanoglu is like playing a man down with 10men. He is normally invisible… Read more »

actually, he was man of the match vs lecce and if it wasnt for suso’s laziness milan could’ve prevented that late equalizer and people would’ve praised hakan for his impressive performance. he also did ok in 2nd half of match vs samp when he played as cm compared to when he played as lw. he distributed the ball well and was generally more involved in the game. his main attributes are his passing and deadballs, not speed and dribbling thus he should play in the middle, its not his fault milan coaches have been too dumb to realize he’s not… Read more »

Sorry mate but Nobody will miss Calhanoglu and Suso. Castellijo is showing everyone that he is more effective than Suso. Suso is a one trick pony. I can’t believe that he was requesting a pay raise on his contract renewal. Smh. As Calhanoglu, nobody will miss him especially if Dani Olmo arrives. If not, Pioli should use Leao, Rebic or Bonaventura on the LW and play Ibra and Piatek. Dani Olmo, Leao, Rebic and Bonaventura are way more effective than Calhanoglu especially since it is clear than our squad is best suited for a 442 there’s absolutely no need either… Read more »

Zlatan the master and Leao the pupil.
Rebic the Warrior and Piatek the killer.

Ibra played with Cavani in a 442 at PSG and it worked. How different is Cavani from Piatek?

Ibra also played with Inzaghi in Allegri 4312 formation. How different is Inzaghi from Piatek?

Piatek played with Christian at Genoa. He played in front of Kouame who has similar characteristics to Ibra.

Ibra and Kouame are both good at coming deep and holding the ball which allows Piatek to make runs behind the lines making it easier to Piatek to find space.

Maybe Im wrong..
But read you own words.
Ibra – Cavani : Cavani strong and youger with fast around them.
Ibra – Inzaghi : Younger Ibra and Allegri slow safe italian stereotype tactics and they didnt use it often. Kouame is like Leao (sort of) fast and hard to get a hold of.
You make some good points and Im drunk so please understand the trolly words.
Give it a try when we are leading with 3 goals.

put it this way mate, every single milan player except for donna, romag and theo played horribly in 4-3-3 formation, not only hakan and suso. kessie and other cm? horrible. bennacer? so busy picking yellows and fouling players inside milan box. the strikers? man, milan played more than they scored, laughably <1 goal/game ratio. theo does well because he’s fantastic and he surely grew up with 4-3-3 at madrid. my point is, u cant blame players for performing badly when playing out of positions. im not saying milan should use 4-3-1-2 just so hakan can play, as we all know… Read more »

Give him 6 months if no good offers come and let Samu play mostly. But We should go for the the cup to get into europe. And let Hakan switch with Paqueta for nr10 in 4312. Are talking about Calhanoglu? They guy who is the main reason why Milan has had almost 100 corner kicks in a row without scoring? The same Calhanoglu whose every corner AND freekick stops at the first opponent? Yeah… I bet he could score 1 or even three freekick goals – but only in a training session when the goal is empty. He’s 100% useless in dead ball situations. End of story.

No way. Kessie is a good DM. It’s because of our lack of quality coaching why his performance was poor. Now that we play him with Bennacer in the middle of a 442 formation we are finally seeing the best out of Kessie.

Vecino would be a good addition but not at the expense of Kessie.

As for Sander Berge, don’t know maybe next summer Milan will get him or Tonali.

This would be the signing that would make all the words about youth players make sense. If he goes to our rivals it would be another Pirlo blow. We should look for a DM with experience and get rid of Biglia fast. Fuck that Guy is a waist. I like Krunic for Kessie. I tell you this Guy with Bennacer is not… Read more »

I have a theory! ( Im gonna calm down after this) It feels like Juventus are trying to be Milan and Inter are trying to be Juventus. Juve wanna be a team that plays attractive football that wins trophies and fans all over the world even if the league is to hard to break because of Boring well run teams like Juve winning 1-0 to the end. Inter want to have a well run club that have the club and the league as its stronghold before players and Champions. The club before the players no more pazza Inter. Milan have… Read more »

i think fifa and uefa need to do something about these informal high fees for agents because the market for players is starting to look like goddamn slave/sex trade with these greedy agents as godforsaken pimps. raiola, pini zahavi, mendes started this and now even lowlife agents like haaland’s and olmo’s start to behave like them. ffp their greedy asses asap please
