There are conflicting reports over Dani Olmo as while some claim that he could arrive already in January, others suggest that Milan is looking to get him in June.
A report on the Croatian website Sportske Novosti unleashed a bombshell on Wednesday evening, suggesting that Milan and Dinamo Zagreb are in advanced negotiations for their top star Dani Olmo and that the player is expected to accept the destination of Milan as well.
The news made their way to Italy, where at first confirmations were not found. When asked about the existence of the negotiations, the Diavolo and Dinamo denied everything.
However, as reported by Pietro Balzano Prota of Radio Rossonera and by others, there is something there. Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia reports that while the interest for January had been the denied, the interest for June was not, and contacts have been made with Dani’s agents.
Di Marzio claims that the goal is to find an agreement to sign Olmo in the summer, when he’ll have just one year left on his contract. Dinamo Zagreb want €30m for the 21-year-old, while the Rossoneri would like to spend about €20m. The idea of Milan is to first get the ‘yes’ of the player and then go ahead and agree on the terms of the transfer with Dinamo, where Zvone Boban started his career.
Olmo has expressed desire to leave Dinamo several times as he believes it’s time for him to take the next step. Milan could absolutely use someone with Dani’s qualities. Updates are expected.
