Reports: Milan choose Begović as Reina’s replacement, the 32-year-old will sign a six-month contract

Asmir Begović is the goalkeeper likely to arrive and be Gianluigi Donnarumma’s understudy as Pepe Reina is set to leave.

After signing Zlatan Ibrahimović and Simon Kjær (the defender had his Milan medical this Saturday), the Rossoneri are ready to sign another player.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, RadioRossonera, and others, Bournemouth’s Asmir Begović has been selected by Milan to take the spot of Pepe Reina as the second-choice keeper, as the Spaniard is set to leave for Aston Villa on loan with option to buy.

As reported by, Milan were considering three profiles: Joe Hart of Burnley, Łukasz Fabiański of West Ham and Begović. The Bosnian spent the first half of the season on loan at Qarabağ. He is not in the plans of Bournemouth and they would be happy to offload him. claims Begović will sign a contract until the end of the season. Alessandro Jacobone of NonEvoluto reports a salary of €0.5m (for six months) for Reina’s replacement is allocated.

It doesn’t actually matter that much , his salary isn’t a problem and he will only come for 6 months , after that we will get Plizzari back. And Donna rarely gets injured or something so i guess he won’t even play.
Anyway , I hope this means they are serious in keeping Donnarrumma.
