Massara flew to Barcelona to try and close the deal for Todibo, Milan want the center back on loan with option

Frederic Massara is in Spain trying to convince Todibo to accept a move to Milan and then close a deal with Barça.

Milan today presented Zlatan Ibrahimović to the press and their next target is very clear: Jean-Clair Todibo of Barcelona.

The 19-year-old center back has been on the mind of the Rossoneri leadership for quite some time. Earlier this week it was reported that there was a broad with Barcelona for Todibo, but on Friday Milan decided to accelerate the talks.

As reported by Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Director of Sport Frederic Massara flew to Barcelona this afternoon to have dinner with Todibo himself. The idea is to convince the former Toulouse man, who has many suitors, to accept the project of Milan for the medium-long term.

The meeting is important to understand the will of the player. Massara flew to Spain after the first half of the friendly match at Milanello today against Rhodense, in which Ibrahimović scored and assisted. Should he succeed in convincing him, the next step would be concluding a deal with Barcelona. The Rossoneri want to take Todibo on a loan with an option to buy, without a buy-back.

If Massara fails in his mission then Milan will have to find new objectives for the defense. In the meantime, Todibo has been left out of Barcelona’s squad for the game against Espanyol.

If this goes through, good, but I still think Pioli won’t play with 3 in the back. Duarte is out for unknown period of time while there are strong reports Gabbia will go on loan if Todibo comes. That leaves them with Roma, Musa, Caldara and Todibo.

If they somehow decide to play 3 at the back then I think they should sell RicRod and bring back Laxalt. He was quite good playing his natural LM wing position and could turn out a good sub for Theo.

Anyway we still need a solid DM

see mates, even my mate ted here, who in the past always screamed, “forza rino and 4-3-3”, can now be milan10an too saying milan should get dm and laxalt back, 3-5-2, hakan is not a winger and so on so forth. moral of this inspiring real life story: no matter how messed up ur past was, u can still turn ur life around as long as u can still breathe. im very glad 🙂

Great, Caldara is the future of italian football bla bla bla bla, Bonucci left and Caldara-Higuain flops.

Maldini will have to defuse Donnarumma’s bomb, a pay rise or see him go. Both a bad move for MIlan. Fuck Raiola

if theres anyone who’s a flop, its bonussy. caldara hasnt even had enough opportunities yet to show his worth, cut him some slack will ya? im sure he’ll be better than musa (who himself is actually not a bad defender)

Caldara got me hyped, but if Maldini don’t trust him then meh. He might need a couple of seasons.

back then i envied juventus and their scout because they had caldara and rugani, having watched them playing for azzurrini and atalanta. now that caldara is here, i hope he can already prove his worth this season.

im glad that milan mgmt is in barcelona to convince todibo but if im honest im disappointed that its not maldini but massara. with maldini todibo can have proper heart to heart conve with another (legendary former) cb, like theo did. any self respecting pro defender must be a maldini fan so i think its easier to convince a cb to join milan when maldini does the talking

Mr. X was Hamsik. Berlusconi then promised the people of Napoli he wouldn’t buy him during his political campaign. And then we ended up with Aquilani. Don’t blame Fester for that one

I don’t get how we go for this guy. Like is he even that good? Especially if we’re too call it quits on caldara?? How can we even think of letting go of caldara without trying him.

Most importantly, why have we made moves in every department instead of the one that matters most which is our midfield!?!? We need a creative midfielder for crying out loud!!
