Jean-Clair Todibo is getting closer to Milan, as the two clubs have reached an agreement for 20m, but teams in the Bundesliga are trying to convince him.
After signing Zlatan Ibrahimović, Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban have changed their focus to Jean-Clair Todibo.
The Rossoneri want to strengthen the defense of Stefano Pioli and have identified the 19-year-old, who’s played just five games for Barcelona since joining them last January, as their top target.
As reported this evening by Antonio Vitiello of Milannews.it, there is now a broad agreement between Milan and Barça for Todibo: a paid loan with an option to buy for buy for €20 million. There will be no buy-back clause. However, what needs to be sorted now is the will of the player.
MN suggests that Todibo has several teams interested in him and he has still not made up his mind. German teams in particular are pushing to get the Frenchman’s signature. Pietro Balzano Prota claims it’s Bayer Leverkusen while Alessandro Jacobone of NonEvoluto adds the name of RB Leipzig. The two are offering more money to Todibo and to his agent (€0.5m more in net salary).
It remains now to be seen what Todibo will want. In the summer, the Rossoneri were close to signing Ozan Kabak from Stuttgart but in the end he chose to join Schalke over Milan.
