Rodríguez’s agent: “Ricardo needs to play in the second half of the season, he would go anywhere for Gattuso”

Ricardo Rodríguez’s agent has made it clear his client needs minutes and invited Napoli to make a move for him.

Theo Hernández was signed for €20 million in the summer and has established himself as the obvious starter in the left-back position for Milan, leaving Ricardo Rodríguez on the bench.

Rodríguez is the second choice of the Diavolo and today his agent, Gianluca Di Domenico, spoke to Radio Marte during their show ‘Si Gonfia La Rete’, to discuss the situation of the 27-year-old Swiss:

“From January onwards, he needs to play, because Euro 2020 is coming up and Ricardo wants to be a protagonist for his country and to do so he needs continuity in the club. Currently at Milan he is not finding space and in the discussions we’ve had to the club, we made it very clear he needs to play in the second half of the season.

“Napoli? For Gattuso, Ricardo would do anything and go anywhere, even to Serie B. Even to Benevento, a club that I respect and that is doing so well – so much that they deserve being top of the table. We don’t want to put any pressure on Gattuso, he started working in Naples a few days ago, but if there was a chance, we’d wait for it. Moreover, Ricardo has already spent his holidays in Naples so we are not liars or trying to pander if we say he loves Naples.

“A possible loan? What is certain is that we want to play. If Milan give Ricardo on loan then they’d have to replace him by getting another player on loan and perhaps this would be a problem for the Rossoneri club. But, if we want to find a solution then it can be found because Milan’s management is made up of professionals.”

Considering his age and his quality is the right moment to sell him. Too bad, because he is a superb back up, very solid defender on a good night

They are, Theo can’t deffend like him, and there is a reason why Hakan starts under 3 different managers.

Even as a bench players they showed solid performances worthy of the current Milan. Now if Maldini can sell them and reinvest that Money in something better then I’ll be making their bags

TONITE ON LIKE MILAN10 SAID “regarding milan fullbacks, calabria and conti are sloppy defenders with bad positional sense but conti actually is good going forward, a wing back material, which is suitable for 4-3-3, 3-5-2 or 4-2-3-1. in formations with wingers, an attack minded fullbacks are a must because the mf mainly operate in the middle and wingers wont and shouldnt track back much, hence the fullbacks have approx 80m vertical area to cover. this is why cafu, alves, rob carlos or anyone of their type have been successful playing in these formations despite having bad defensive prowess while more… Read more »

my idea is : put RicRod as a LB and Theo as a LM.
Try a christmas tree formation with duo Bona and Paqueta as AM behind the striker. Suso can enter as a sub. we have Calabria as backup for LB/RB. also Duarte.
