Contacts ongoing between Milan and Raiola for Ibrahimović, there are still gaps between offer and demand

Zlatan Ibrahimović is a very concrete target of the Rossoneri for the January transfer market and negotiations are in place between Milan and Raiola.

Zvonimir Boban, Paolo Maldini and Ivan Gazidis have spoken several times about the fact that this young Milan team needs some experienced players.

And the first target for the January mercato is 38-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimović, who is now a free agent after finishing his contract with Los Angeles Galaxy.

The first meeting between Ibrahimović’s agent Mino Raiola and the Diavolo management took place on Wednesday. Yesterday, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, the first offer of the Rossoneri were made. At the moment, however, the demand of Zlatan is considered very high.

Alessandro Jacobone of NonEvoluto claims that Ibra wants a salary of €8m for 18 months of contract. Jacobone adds that there was a phone call between Ibrahimović and Boban, but the man in charge of the negotiations is and will remain Raiola. There are conflicting reports over how much Milan are willing to shell out: Jacobone claims it is €4m while La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Alessandra Gozzini believes it is €6m (€2m for this half season and €4m for the 2020/21 season).

Should an agreement be found between the parties – which is not a trivial thing – then the idea is to have Ibrahimović train with the squad of Stefano Pioli already from December, so he can fully integrate and start playing without delay in January.

Bologna, Napoli and Tottenham are also interested in Ibra and he’ll decide his future at the start of next month. Contacts are alive with Raiola, who now represents Romagnoli and Suso as well.

Wet dreams – snap Thiago Silva from PSG, his contract is due to expire

Nice line-up but i disagree with kessie in the squad. He should be sold and Rade krunìc to replace him.

Ted

I think ever since Kessie came he was not used in line with his characteristics at all. Then again he seems frustrated and is ready to leave. But Krunic is not the guy to hold the midfield if they opt to play with two in the mid

MIlan653

KEssie brings much needed protection for Hernandez
Piatek isn’t good enough for the lineup
Brings nothing to the game

Milan653

Literally no pace at all in that lineup
Take out piatek for leao or rebic
And that’d be better

Im not convinced by Ibra joining but i guess the squad could use Zlatan’s mentality and leadership but im definetly sure that he cant carry us on his back like he used to Milan need a LW and a CB and CM

I agree. I have mix feelings about Ibrahimović return. Milan need to stop living in the past. Every past player who returned to Milan were unsuccessful. Ruud Gullit, Donadoni, Marco Simone, Kaka, Shevchenko, and Boateng. Even our past coaches who had success previously failed miserably upon their second stint at Milan like Sacchi and Capello who were horrible during their 2nd stint. This is why I hope Milan don’t go for Ancelotti next season. He has been poor for awhile now. Milan should focus on either switching to a back 3 play 343 and use Hernandez and Conti to their… Read more »

Chiesa is the player i really want and Ruben Neves & Upamecano unfortunately it is not possible at the moment but thats the kind of signings Milan desperatly needs to get to the next level but like i said it is impossible in todays market it will take years before Milan can get there sadly

Pato

In my opinion, we should be careful with this plan so it won’t turn out to be like Bonucci”s case. Bonucci came and we put all the responsibility of a big club on him . If we are to sign Ibrahimovic, we should ensure we complement the signings by engaging a world class mildfielder and a solid centre back as well. Anything different from this could end up in more disappointment. We need at least three world class players on the pitch to shoulder responsibilities. We need a big pull out of this abyss of abysmal situation.

His presence alone in the locker room will be a game changer. I think he will not be bought to carry the team like he used to. It’s more of the passing of the baton which should have happened before from the Milan legends to ibra then to the new team which, obviously did not happen because of the sale to balance the books.
