Diego Laxalt has officially joined il Toro, saying goodbye to the Rossoneri.

Laxalt’s exit was on the cards since the arrival of Theo Hernandez at the start of the season from Real Madrid, and today (Saturday) it has been made official that he joins Torino for at least one season.

“Milan (the Club) announces the transfer of the defender Diego Sebastián Laxalt Suárez to Torino on a temporary basis with an option to make the deal permanent. The Club wishes all the best to the footballer for the upcoming season,” a statement reads.

Laxalt joined Milan only last year from Genoa for a reported €14m + €4m of bonuses. However, with Gennaro Gattuso and Marco Giampaolo both favoring a four-man backline, a wing-back like Laxalt found it more difficult to get consistent playing and he now joins Walter Mazzari’s Torino.

“I come to Toro with great enthusiasm, ready to put myself immediately at the disposal of the coach and my teammates,” Laxalt told Torino’s website. “I will reunite with Coach Mazzarri, who I knew from my time at Inter, and many lads who are friends more than simply former teammates. Their support will help me settle in quickly into this new environment and the international break will be very useful for that as well. I thank the club for putting its faith in me and salute all the Toro fans: running and playing football is even more wonderful when you do it in front of a crowd that supports you and makes you feel important.”

Torino agreed to pay €0.5m for the loan of Laxalt with the buy-out option set at €11.5m. They will also cover his entire salary, which is believed to be €1.7m per season net.

I wonder why he was signed at first. One of the many wrong signings in the last 2yrs, castillejo and Lord Borini should pls join him asap.

He was one of the best wing backs in Serie A. sadly he is a wing back not a full back. he is only good when he plays in 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. with a little patience he could have learn to play more defensively. good example of such a shift is Serginho and Kaladze. both started as midfielders. Kaladze even learned to be a CB and a very good one.

I seriously don’t see why Laxalt is so hyped; the best thing I can say about him is that he played with Cavani and Suarez in the same team

Soheil

The second team I like (because I lived there as a kid) is Genoa and believe me he played really good for them. I don’t see him as Milan starting line up material but when we play Borini just because he is fast, why not play him? His is fast and he actually can play football.

Baresis Dream

Fair enough Sohiel, I didn’t follow Genoa that much. But I seriously would keep Borini over him – Selling Borini won’t get us any real cash, and he’s much more versatile.

Soheil

I rather sell both of them. Borini get 2M dollar a season (or maybe more). Playing under 21 players would be so much better. Sadly no one would buy them.

Laxalt has an amazing WC. He was very good attacking and defensively. Milan managers never gave him the chance and I prefer him over RicRod.

Modern day football requires wingbacks to have speed and they must have the ability to take on defenders to provide more in the attack.

RicRod can’t dribble to save his life and he’s slow as hell.

he’s good but gattuso prefer RR than him… for me i prefer laxalt rather than RidRod… he has pace, strong and makes our left side become dangerous…

Exactly. Preach brother!

Oluwashevy

he as gone to torino with an option to buy. at the end of the season now torino will say he didn’t perform and bring him back to us another dead weight occupying the team this management need to step up they transfer policy majority of our players are under rated.

Rosored

This management is horse shit! Every single decision they have made has been disastrous! I give them until January. New coach. New management.

I know it’s just possibility but they report Milan will play 4321 today with Suso and Castillejo behind Piatek. But watch this – midfield will reportedly be of Paqueta, Bennacer and midfield revelation Borini.

BORINI AGAIN IN MIDFIELD PEOPLE! THIS IS A SABOTAGE!
