Diego Simeone has spoken about the situation of Ángel Correa, saying Atlético will decide his future.
Milan’s number one target for the attack is Correa of Atlético Madrid but talks have not progressed in weeks, as the financial gap remains significant between the Rossoneri and Los Colchoneros.
Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban are expected to be in Madrid next week to try to define the operation. Correa, meanwhile, continues to train with Atlético, but he can’t play in the first two Matchdays due to a two-match suspension he picked up on the last Matchday of La Liga last season.
“Correa? It’s complicated. I already knew from pre-season that I wasn’t going to be able to play him in the first two games and he has been training fantastically,” Atlético Madrid coach Diego Simeone said in his pre-Leganes press conference on Saturday, as reported by the Spanish MARCA.
“The club will decide according to what is best for everyone. Rodrigo? I like everyone, I don’t want to talk about him because he is not our player. I talk to you about what I have and that is Correa.”
