Real Madrid and Milan will apparently meet again soon and a profile that could be discussed is Mariano Díaz, even though Ángel Correa remains the number one target for the attack.
The transfer market ends in less than two and a half weeks. Milan have already signed five new players but there will still be some movements until September 2.
According to a story written by Alessandra Bocci of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid and Milan have scheduled a meeting for the last week of the transfer market. Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara already met Real earlier this summer and the meeting resulted in Theo Hernández joining the club.
The Los Blancos will have some players surplus to requirements by the end of the market and Milan can take advantage of this situation. While the likes of Modrić, James, Isco and Bale are virtually unattainable due to their cost, a profile that could be discussed is that of Mariano Díaz.
La Gazzetta claims that Real Madrid could offer the striker to Milan. Mariano, 26, has no space at Real Madrid and has failed to convince coach Zinedine Zidane since returning to Madrid in 2018. He’s already been stripped of his #7 jersey (given to Eden Hazard) and therefore is likely to be on the move. Mariano would give Milan another option up front, and be an alternative to Krzysztof Piątek.
In any case, the number one target of the Rossoneri for the attack remains Ángel Correa of Atlético Madrid. The offer of the Diavolo remains €38m plus bonuses and the deal is stuck for now.
