Curious to see duarte play. I hope he can be that classic no nonsense south american defender in the mold of montero, aldair or cordoba. His style will complement romag’s style so well, like leao or correa’s will complement piatek’s. Also, why cant bennacer play? Damn shame. Lastly, i hope giampaolo can turn kessie into world class box to box mezz’ala in 4-3-1-2 like davids was for juve. He sucked horribly as creative cm in stupid 4-3-3 but i think he has it all to be world class btb: stamina, strength, tenacity, positioning when defending and attacking and his scoring… Read more »

Really looking forward to this season. I like what I saw so far in preseason despite the losses to Benfica, Man United and Bayern Munich. Giampaolo is trying to implement pressing and possession base football. I was happy to see Gattuso leave because our football was so negative and boring. We sat back and just allowed teams to attack us until they turned over ball from a bad pass. Even against smaller weaker teams. Smh Now our team is pressing and winning possession in our opponents final third. Similar to Man City, Liverpool and Barcelona style. Our defensive line has… Read more »

You’re forgetting the Lazio ball boy nearly got us fourth place in arguably the weakest Serie A since the 1950s so he should’ve kept his job anyway.

I agree with everything you said except when you said that Bennacer is like Pirlo in his play. Word of correction: Bennacer is exactly like Xavi except he is playing from deep. Both players like to unlock space by DRIVIING the ball through DRIBBLING. Pirlo on the other hand relied on TECHNIQUE to allow him to make passes. Pirlo does Xavi’s job quicker because the ball travels faster than the player. But Xavi’s way engages team mates more and provides more ways to attack while Xavi can make himself available all the way to the execution of an attack. Pirlo… Read more »

Piatek is a poacher. Correa and Leao compliment with him for their speed and dribbling skills. but there is other type that compliment with a poacher. A striker who creates chances with his one two passing. Balotelli, Ibra and Totti for example

I want Giampaolo to test Suso upfront with Piatek with Calhanoglu/Paqueta behind them since Correa is still not definite untill now and Leao isn’t ready as starter yet

Are u so sure Leao ain’t ready? What parameters are u using to measure the young man as being unprepared. One shot ballooned way over the cross bar n most are already deeming him not fit to start. Pls let’s allow him play some games if the coach should decide to start him

And they already forget that Leao made the assist.

The players we’d loved to see are missing; Is Bennacer’s Break not over yet? Not as if I’m against him getting enough rest but really would’ve been nice to get a glimpse of him in a less serious setting as well. What happened to Leao? Mr Guanpaolo if u are here give us answers pls
