Andrea Petagna has been proposed to the leadership of Milan today, while there are no updates on Pietro Pellegri.

Milan are making changes in attack this summer, selling Patrick Cutrone (and perhaps also André Silva) while bringing in Leão (and perhaps also Ángel Correa).

Today, agent Giuseppe Riso was at Casa Milan and he spoke for over an hour with the leadership of the Rossoneri.

According to Milannews.it, a player was offered to Milan during the discussion and that is of Andrea Petagna. The 24-year-old grew up in the Youth Sector of the Diavolo but left in 2013 after the acquisition of Alessandro Matri. He is at SPAL and scored 17 goals in 37 games last season.

Riso is also the agent of Monaco’s Pietro Pellegri and Milannews.it claims there are no news. Alessandro Jacobone of NonEvoluto on the other hand reports there were contacts with Monaco this morning and Riso is trying to promote the idea of an operation involving Pellegri and André Silva.

Wow. Sold Cutrone and now buying Petagna. I don’t really understand why we need more reinforcements in attack. Heck why do we even need Correa for 50 mil !
Use that kind of money to add some quality to midfield. And the biggest mystery – why is Donnarumma priced at just 50 and Suso at just 35 when other teams are demanding atleast 50 for half decent players like Correa!? Can someone please explain this logic to me? :\

Did u ever see ” half decent ” Correa playing in Spain/Champions league ? Correa is very good, it would be an excellent addition !

To be honest, I’ve never seen him play live. But based on the youtube videos, I don’t think he’s better than Piatek who we got for 35. Also, I partly don’t think that we need another striker worth 50 mil in team when we have Piatek, Leao and Castillejo. We can use that money and invest in midfield.

The reason why Donna and Suso are priced that much is because they didnt renew their contract so there’s not much Milan can do with the price of both layers unless they renew the contract, remember longer contract more money unless the club wants to sell at a discount.

There was rumor surrounding PSG selling Neymar to Real, who would then use the money to get Donnarumma and Dybala. Real’s only choices for getting enough funds are James, Isco and Bale. nobody wants Bale but James and Isco are valued 110-120, why not work with both team and acquire both James and Isco in exchange for Donna and 15-20M? We then wouldn’t need to buy Correra, Real’s direct rivals won’t be strengthened and PSG will finally get a good GK, and Real a replacement for CR7. we can then use A. Silvas money for cover the extra fees for… Read more »

I think Dani Olmo is an exiting player. Much cheaper than Isco/James and with plenty of potential. Also younger with an expected high increase in value for the future.

Same here. The idea of selling our players for lower or maximum equal to their market values simply doesn’t make any sense, yet it has become Milan’s tradition in last years. Check transfermarkt and see it yourself.

Even though i wouldnt mind Petagna as a third or fourth choice i doubt this story has any kind of truth to it at all and even if it did i doubt Petagna wouild accept to become a bench player after a pretty great 18/19 season. There would also be the question of the fee involved that propably would exceed 20 mil. In my view Just a made up story that propably reflects the medias ignorance of which players milan and riso are negotianing about.

It could very well be an attempt to put pressure on Atletico Madrid to let go of Correa for an amount of money closer to what Milan are willing pay. Make it look like they are losing patience for Correa and are ready to move on to other targets.
Personally I think Correa would fit in well with this Milan side and the way Gianpaolo wants the team to play.

Hey there A.R. it certainly would make some sense if it was part of a bigger scheme of sending an indication of potentially moving on in the market but at the same time it seems like atl madrid will soon have to accept a lower fee regardless as they need that cash to finalize their rodrigo deal. Yeah i agree that correa would fit in well with giampolos ideas of how he and the club wants us to play. People tends to forget or not understand that correa wont be bought to score a large ammount of goals but instead… Read more »

He is certainly not a bad player and scoring 16 goals for spal in a serie a season is quite an accomplishment in my view. Yeah he would but as allready stated i doubt he would accept that at this point of his career but personally i’d swap him with silva anyday.

Yeah, I would also swap Petagna for Silva… I feel a little bad for Andre Silva, though. No more than two years ago he was a rising star, the sky seemed to be the limit, and then look at his situation now. I hope wherever he goes he will manage to get his career back on the right track. What do you think about the Modric rumors? I cannot understand how he could come when we have just bought Bennacer. It would be stupid to leave either one of them on the bench and of course we also have Biglia… Read more »

Never really wanted us to aquirre Silva to begin with as i felt he was more hype than the talent we was promised but wish him good wherever he might endup. I would absolutely love if we buy modric and see no issues in having both him and bennacer at our disposal as both of them can play dm/cm/atm with different emphasis on the favourite positions. Id argue it would be an invaluable addition both to the squad and for that matter for our young players to lean upon, amongst them bennacer. In the end it would depend on fee… Read more »

You actually managed to calm me down a bit with your reply. Thank you for that, Martin, much appreciated.
