Franck Kessié and Rafael Leão both had their first Milan training session of the season on Monday.
The new season starts on August 25th for Milan, as they face Udinese away from home. Today, training resumed after the day off granted by Marco Giampaolo the player following the game in Cardiff against Manchester United.
Training started at around 18:00 CEST and the squad was divided into two groups: the 11 players who started against United were in the gym before heading out to the pitch for a training session entirely dedicated to the athletic phase.
The second group meanwhile did some technical work with the ball before moving to the tactical phase. In this group of players, there were Franck Kessié – who today returned to Milanello after finishing his summer vacation – and striker Rafael Leão, who arrived from Lille last week.
The only player missing is Ismaël Bennacer, who will arrive on August 10. Leão already trained with Lille in this pre-season but both he and Kessié will have to understand Giampaolo’s mind now.
