Pepe Reina is looking forward to tonight’s game against Manchester United in Cardiff as he believes ‘we are learning and improving’.

The Rossoneri will play their last 2019 International Champions Cup game tonight (18:30 CEST kickoff) at Principality Stadium in Cardiff as they face Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s Manchester United.

“This is an important test,” ex-Liverpool man Reina told MilanTV. “It will be in a particular setting and in a beautiful stadium. We’ll face a team that is further ahead in their pre-season preparation than us. However, it will be a good challenge, we need to do our best to continue improving and to build our match fitness.

“The team is learning to plays from memory, we are learning and improving. The coach wants a team that plays with personality and clear ideas. He wants us proactive, not sitting back and waiting but taking control. Having fun when you play football is crucial. The more you enjoy it, the better the results will be.

“But sometimes you need to chase down the ball, but the less you fun, the more fun you have. I definitely believe that, especially at this point in the season, we need to have fun, we need to improve and we need this sense of fun. Every away game is challenging, you never know, I don’t trust predictions. We’ll take things one game at a time over the course of the season we’ll face everyone and we can only draw conclusions in May.

“For now, the most important thing is to prepare well, and be ready for the game at Udinese, because that’s the first game we’re really interested in.”
