Milan and Wolves reach an agreement over Cutrone, the striker is on his way to Italy to talk to the English club

Patrick Cutrone is close to permanently leaving Milan as he’s left the USA training camp and is on his way to Italy.

Cutrone has won the hearts of many Milan fans since getting promoted to the first team from the Primavera, but the new Rossoneri does not consider the 21-year-old part of the footballing project.

Since Patrick is a homegrown talent, his sale would be a pure capital gain for Milan and this is very important when taking the Financial Fair Play into account.

Now, it seems, that the exit of Cutrone is nearly here. Wolverhampton Wanderers have been in talks with Milan for the player for a while now, and according to Milannews.it, Sky Italia, Pietro Balzano Prota and others, talks between the clubs are very advanced and there is basically an agreement.

The figure Wolves will pay Milan is still not confirmed, but earlier reports from England suggested it’d be around €18m plus bonuses. Cutrone was hesitant at first to go to Wolves but over the European night he left the training camp in the US, where he was with the squad, and he is now on his way to Italy to meet the leaves of Wolves and negotiate a five-year contract (reportedly worth €3m yearly).

Cutrone will join André Silva in Milano as the club is looking to sell both players this summer. Their replacements in the squad should be Ángel Correa of Atletico Madrid and Rafael Leão of Lille.

What f**k maldini doing to much foreign player to milan.. why not get change develop dna milan to 1st team trust them

Spike

Even if it takes aliens to get us back up there, we don’t mind

Ink

We? You mean Inter recruiting aliens?

The Big Dog

Lol Spike

The Big Dog

Lol Spike. If they come in peace, they are welcome!

Janta

You’re wrong by saying foreign players. AC Milan has fans all over the world. Any good player should be brought to Milan.

Pato

If Milan management have the liver to sell Crutone then I don’t see what Calhanglu, Borini ,Suso,Bilga,Laxalt are doing in the team. They should all be sold !

Willsmilan

I agree with you They are prepared to sell laxalt, borini, Strinic bt Biglia as few offers bt they can’t pay is wages that’s the same problem juventus is facing with Higuain. Bt for Hakan he as been played mostly out of position nd the coach was satisfied with his statistics nd he wants to try him out. If Milan receive a good offer for Suso they will sell him Bt the coach nd board are be cautious they ve to have a proper replacement for the role they want to use him Nd they have been studying Oscar as… Read more »

Yes because we sell Cutrone we should sell everyone else on the team! Cutrone just isn’t that good I don’t get what you fans are crying about.

Deku

Young and talanted player who can use his brain and adapt and work his a** off for milan. if you had watched any of Milan’s game you could have seen that the guy evolved from just being a pocher and into a player that could dribble, take the ball from behind into the final 3rd.

Nathan Graegin

Yes, I have been saying he would be perfect for piatek bc he understands where he needs to be. We saw with castellejo he was clueless as ss. Correa is a winger who will also be clueless as a ss. As a forward myself I can tell you, being skillful has nothing to do with being a forward. You need experience. There’s a reason not even Ronaldo is as effective when playing the target man. You can tell with a forwards runs and other off ball movements that they know what to do. Cutrone knew what to do and like… Read more »

Nathan Graegin

The really problem is, what happens when piatek either gets hurt, burns out, or turns out to be a one season hit. All we have now are ss and only 1 pure striker. Ss don’t score lots of goals sonif piatek isn’t scoring, we are doomed

EL92

Lmao I’ve seen almost every match Cutrone has played with Milan, and he’s just a poacher. Hard working, but not that talented. Everything you said about his play on the ball is nonsense. Doesn’t have too much potential, but could’ve be a useful super sub.

Nathan Graegin

That’s bc you don’t understand how a forward is supposed to make runs. That must mean you did not like inzaghi bc cutrone is a carbon copy. We all saw with more play time cutrone scored consistently. Last season he didn’t play anywhere near as much as his first. How can you improve when the team continues to buy new forwards and never give you the chance you deserve to start. You can’t fulfill your potential by playing 15 min or less every other game. Piatek isn’t very technical either, and has zero link up play. Cutrone will come for… Read more »

What the hell? Great, let’s just get rid of Cutrone, Locatelli, Petagna, Aubameyang, Cristante etc. and keep wondering why we don’t get anywhere.

soheil balini

No we should sell all young talents we have and buy Correa. He only scored 3 goals but he can probably get it up to the 6 in Milan!

Raven

Rather sell Suso for 20 than seeing Cutrone leaving. Cutrone wants to play, Suso wants a 6.5M wage.

Martin Bernhard

Agree Raven and i’ll even go further with that statement as we have many other players we could sell cheaply and gain some cash before selling a priced young asset like cutrone. Only way id even consider selling cutrone is if he infact asked to leave the club and even then i certainly wouldnt sell him for the ammount mentioned in the media. Hopefully Theres a buyback clause and a first refusal included in the contract otherwise this deal is gonna come back and bite us.

Willsmilan

Barcelona produces more quality youth player than other teams And yet they end up selling 90% of them. Nd buying better ones. Only Ajax are known to stick with youth from there teams and had some quality players to them. Bt once they excell Ajax can sell all of them at once they don’t care from starting over. They are a money making team. Nd they might wait 10/12 year before getting better product. If we produce a good player that is not up to the standard of getting us champions league until they turn 30yrs, ar u suggesting we… Read more »

And it’s thinking like that that has the Italian squad in a garbage state. I’m not Italian but I’ve been a lifelong Milan fan at 30yrs old now. Not even giving a chance to players that clearly are going to be big just bc they are on a big team is backwards. When you have talents like cutrone, gigio, gabbia, Calabria maldini etc, you have to play them. How can you get to a high lvl when you don’t get to play till your 25+ look at bellotti, he missed his chance to move and he’s stuck on Torino. Playing… Read more »

Silva and cutrone and perfect replacements correa and leao. Maldini and boban this is awesome

Niels8

I don’t understand anymore. Hate to say this, but I can’t helpt it. The new management might be even more clueless than the previous.

The Big Dog

I agree with you Niels8. Personally I don’t think Rafael Leao will be any better than Niang ever was for Milan. The dude is like water. No taste of quality whatsoever. That would be 35m wasted for a club that is desperate for the CL.

Spike

Most Milan fans don’t even know what they want… Even if we are buying mbappe, most will still complain. I don’t have a problem with this guy going, just include a buy back clause. Let’s see how he performs for a team with lesser expectation

Istyy

I love milan a lot but i definitely hate the attitude of milanistas. They know how to complain about just everything. Allow the management to do their jobs for crying out loud. Some people talk here like the love milan more than Maldini someone whose father and him are both legend of the club. Allow them to fail first before u criticize them rather than anticipating failure for them even befor it haooens. For me whatever the management do or whoever they sell as long as it will bring back our lost glory i am in for it. I think… Read more »

Glory of Milan has always been about giving the home grown talent a chance to shine instead of pushing them off aside for one season wonders.

Raven

It’s a shame his sacrifice also made possible to keep Donnarumma. It fills me with pain as the boy is crazy about Milan, he is insane he comes running like crazy and scores not with talent but with desire.

I just hope they can fins the boy a nice team, he deserves a good coach who nourish him and keep his shin up. Surely he will be missed. But FFS I just hope they insert a buyback clause

Iheanyi

I agree with u. Nesta, cafu, shevchenko, kaka, stam, pirlo, gattuso, seedorf, dida, boban, van basten, rykard, inzaghi (just to mention a few) are all home grown talents. Its time some fans should just shutup. This management is having sleepless night trying to improve d team with minimal cash and some are her bitching around. In what planet is correa and laeo not an improvement to cutrone and A.silva

Nathan Graegin

Well when Silva and cutrone have more goals than the others almost combined, then yes, it’s easy to see they are not an upgrade. With buying nothing but ss, who’s going to replace piatek if he gets hurt, burns out or can’t replicate his scoring from last year. Ss don’t score goals. And piatek has shown signs that he is inconsistent and very lazy when he doesn’t have the ball. Cutrone playa hard with and without the ball. Let him seriously start for a good 6 months like everyone else we buy, and he will score tons of goals like… Read more »

Barezzi, Maldini, Costacurta are alll homegrown player and their impact for sucess was huge, he want to say that we need good mix of home grown and players foreigners to make god team

If Chelsea can sell hazard how cutrone

Ink

Are we going Internazionale with our players? Leao… that guy had one moderate season at Lille, the French league for crying out loud. He costs 35 mil? Why do we even want him? Correa 50 ish mil, Leao 35 mil and Cutrone and Locatelli together less than 30 mil? Every year needs to be year zero with completely new set of players? Without giving the homegrown players a chance to grow to be at least 25 with the team before writing them off? No one season wonders are going to play for Milan with as much passion as someone like… Read more »

Raven

I just read that Leao is the “Portuguese Mbappe”. So yeah… What I can’t understand is that we are been followed by FFP and the management decides to buy a new team. We can miss CL, but a full San Siro every week is a lot of money.

What bothers me is that with the money that will be spend if we sign Correa and Leao we could get a solid trequartista.

The Big Dog

Well said ink. I’m afraid so. Rafael Leao is just bland like water. No taste of quality. Not particularly fast, his finishing, shooting is shameful compared to Cutrone. He is neither technical or a dribbler. No passion or determination. Tell me how will he turn out good for Milan? I would do almost anything to see Leao not end up at Milan because it’s a fraud if he does. 35m goes like a faught in the wind. I will remember whoever thought highly of Leao. They know nothing about players of quality.

O'Gabb's

You sound so much like a sis who knows nothing about football. In as much as feel for Cutrone who is being forced out of Milan, but this team needs to grow just like Cutrone needs consistent performance to grow his game. Finally I advise you stop barking. For you know nothing about Leao. I have seen him play severally though, he’s not a world class now,he is better than Cutrone. Just hope Milan have buy back clause for Cutrone deal. Bye Doggie da merda.

Nathan Graegin

We will regret this. What happens if piatek gets hurt? We won’t have a natural forward. They also don’t realize what this will do to the youth players. Why stay stay at a club that doesn’t play to keep you. This is a sad day for real. He hasn’t even been given a chance to start for at least 6 months

Raven

For those who are in pain let me explain, yes it would be better to balance the books with the likes of: Castillejo, Borini, Calhanoglu but don’t forget that Milan spend on them, it’s best for the “books” to sell a player who comes from our academy as is only “gains” But come on, Cutrone don’t fit Sir Giampaolo’s tactics so why keep him to leave in the bench? Correa might score less and be our most expensive player in the history of Milan but is what the Sir asked. Cutrone won’t go there, he wants a better club he… Read more »

Alexmilan

My friends, there is another coach, another system, another requirements, another style and players needed. Piatek will be most of the time starter, Silva and Cutrone are almost similar, they can’t bring so much as second strikers and they will be benched until they have the chance to play. This is wasting money on 2 players who will be bench warmers, because we will play one game per week ! Instead of that, Maldini, Boban and Giampaolo want to change those 2 players with another 2 that suit to his ideas, so he asked for Correa and Leao, a movement… Read more »

Milanello

You right Alex on the spot

Djuka

How the f**k he asked for this two, there werent other players with same characteristiks on the market, or beter??

Cruzio

Am sure Maldini at his level and love for Milan knows exactly what’s good for the club and more importantly what the coach needs for his tactics and style of play. All I can say is that the management should include buy-back clause to the real. I will be happy to see us sign Oscar as he’s offering himself on loan.

Ted

To me Rafael Leao seems a player of similar characteristics as Piatek or better yet Silva, so I don’t really know where he’ll fit. He’s not really a supporting striker. Shady deals with this Mendes guy

Alexmilan

One more thing ! Rafael Leao is much more technique than Patrick, more physical ( 188 cm ) and faster so he can play easily ST, SS and even LW, in my oppinion it will be a great addition to our attack ! Correa will be a trequartista or SS, they have great technique and speed, they will change our game totally !

Elliotazzuri

Rafeal leao reminds me of niang you can even call them brothers their style of play and all
As for correa is stats speaks for him so don’t expect much for him like how you expected for kalinic their practical the same with the usless excuses that they are ss strikers
Final verdict rafeal leao 4/10 score
Correa 3/10
Leo duarte 4/10
Sliva 5.5/10 (sliva can guarantee 5 goals)
Cutrone 5.3/10 (can guarantee 5 goals also if both given chance)

Elliotazzuri

Message to Milan those shit Milan fans that says GIVE MANAGEMENT A CHANCE LET SEE RESULTS FIRST THEIR HAVING sleepless nights to build the team don’t forget you said that when li was here fassone mirabeli sign those crap and failed and when leonardo took over you blasted fassone Chinese gang and praise Elliot now that maldini is here you dump leonardo you keep on repeating the same thing over again and any new signings excite you without them even playing and at the end of this current season you might end up repeating the cycle again Better change now… Read more »

A lot of emotions running high because Cutrone is leaving and I totally get it. I felt the same way when Gullit left for Sampdoria, when Rijkaard left for Ajax, when Marco Simone left for Monaco, when Weah left for Chelsea, when Shevchenko left for Chelsea, when Kaka left for Real Madrid and when Ibra and Thiago Silva left for PSG but this football and players come and go. It’s just the reality in football we have to accept. This is why my loyalty is with Milan and not with the players or coaches. I like Cutrone but i love… Read more »

How can we let Cutrone go, i wouldn’t let him go even for 100m. Come on stop destroying the team.

Ewaen

We should also remember Cutrone says he isn’t going to sit on the bench for another striker and demanded to wear the number 9 Jersey, before Leonado intervened. Piatek is a better finisher and deserves to start and cutrone isn’t the best support striker out there. Yes we love him, but it’s best he is sold, for his sake and the sake of Milan. Some love never result in marriages while some love marriages never end well. Remember, so fans complained bitterly about the signing of Theo Hernandez, now we see the difference with our other left backs. We all… Read more »

Piatek scores a lot of goals bc the team was built around him, cutrone never ever got the chance to be the main man. After he put performed Silva and kalanic, he should have been the main focus, instead we get a washed up higuain. And again cutrone out performed him as well. Again he deserved at least 6 months but instead we get piatek. Cutrone was shown zero trust and now they don’t even want to try and play them together and instead go for ss that won’t score at all.
