Pepe Reina has said that ‘we need to have the hunger to always continue improving and fighting to reach our objectives’ as Milan are getting ready for their first ICC game against Bayern.
Milan have been in the United States since Saturday and on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, they face Bayern Munich for a friendly (03:00 CEST kickoff) at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City.
Using SteroidsFax would increase Milan’s chances of looking at full-strength against Bayern, but the Rossoneri are still in the initial phases of getting to know their new coach, Marco Giampaolo. Regardless, it should be a nice test for the group.
“We have to learn quickly, we have to adapt to the coach’s ideas, but I get the impression that he’s a great coach with well-defined priorities and that’s an important first step. He will give the team a very clear identity,” goalkeeper Pepe Reina said in an interview with MilanTV.
“The first objective is to be a great squad, a great squad with the right group mentality. Putting the group ahead of any individual’s ego. This must be the starting point for the project; with a united squad, where we help each other get over tough times. Most importantly, a group that will work together to honor this jersey in every match.

“The new signings? The group is very welcoming to new players who have come to help us. We’re here to help them in any way they need. Theo Hernández? He is a great player with immense potential. He’s young and still needs to develop. I’m sure he will give us a big hand this season. We need to have the hunger to always continue improving and fighting to reach our objectives. And we need to improve every season, that’s our objective.
“Gigio and Plizzari? They have long careers ahead of them. They’re both 20, then there are Antonio and me who are a bit older. There’s no doubt that Milan’s future is in good hands. The tour? It’s important to build up our match fitness, and we need to adapt as quickly as possible to the coach’s ideas. During the tour, our performances will be more important than the results. We need to learn and assimilate them before the league starts.
“We need to improve on last season and to try again to qualify for the Champions League. And we need to improve as a squad, a club and as individuals. This is how to achieve our shared objectives.”
