Ángel Correa is a target of Milan and they will meet with Andrea Berta of Atlético Madrid to talk about him, according to Di Marzio.
Paolo Maldini said on Friday that Milan’s main focus is strengthening the midfield, but Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the number one target for the attack is Atlético Madrid’s Ángel Correa.
The Argentine forward has a valuation of €55m, and according to Di Marzio on Calciomercato – L’originale, the contacts between Milan and the La Liga club for Correa will continue on Tuesday, when Atlético’s director Andrea Berta arrives in Milano.
Di Marzio reports that there’s a meeting scheduled between Berta and the leaders of Milan to move forward in the negotiations for Correa. Maldini, Boban and Massara will not fly with the squad for the United States Tour, and only CEO Ivan Gazidis is expected to join Marco Giampaolo’s side.
Correa, 24, has a high price tag and Milan will need to sell in order to make a move for him. Patrick Cutrone and André Silva are both linked with exists, and agent Jorge Mendes is reporting working behind the scenes to find new clubs for the Milan attackers. Di Marzio reports that on Thursday, Monaco vice President Oleg Petrov, was in Milano with Mendes as the French club wants Silva.
As for Cutrone, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the player but it’s said that Patrick is not too excited by the destination. Cutrone would rather stay or at least move to a bigger club.
