Jordan Veretout remains a target regardless of the arrival of Ismaël Bennacer, but Fiorentina don’t want players included in the deal.
Improving the midfield is the top priority of Milan for this summer mercato, and after completing deals for Empoli’s Rade Krunić and Ismaël Bennacer, the Rossoneri leadership keeps looking around.
Some suggested that Bennacer’s arrival excludes that of Jordan Veretout of Fiorentina, but Alfredo Pedullà, who has been following the negotiations since the start, claims that the Rossoneri are still very much interested.
The Sportitalia journalist reports that on Wednesday Milan offered €13m plus Biglia for Veretout. Meanwhile, Jordan has asked the Viola to sell him this summer and has also requested to not join them in the pre-season training due to ‘personal reasons’. Pedullà expects today to be a key day to understand Jordan’s future; Roma and Napoli remain interested in the 26-year-old French midfielder.
“Veretout has asked to be sold, he wants to increase his level of competitiveness,” Fiorentina director of sport told Daniele Pradè reporters yesterday. “At the moment were are not competitive but we’ll get there. There are different teams but we still have nothing in hand. He’ll train with us waiting.
“We like the profile of Biglia, but he has high costs. If we will accept counterparts for Veretout? No, we don’t want them.” Milan, therefore, will have to pay more or hope Fiorentina change their minds.
If they get Veretout, this will be the last transfer in midfield and Kessie will be under threat to leave, even if I consider that this will be a huge mistake because we need midfielders, we will use 4 every game from now on ( 2 mezzala, one regista and one trequartista ) and Kessie is needed even as option as DM. I hope Maldini and Boban know their job. So, go for the last transfers, a midfielder, a defender ( but don’t sell Gabbia ) and a second striker. In my oppinion, Cutrone should stay ! We must sell… Read more »
you definitely played too much FIFA!
What are the reasons to say that ??? Where am I wrong ? I never played Fifa, but I follow Milan since 1988 ! I follow Milan from under 15 to the seniors every day of my life ! I know if a young player deserves or not to be promoted ! And this season the only young players who made good progress were Plizzari, Gabbia, Pobega, Capanni and Maldini. And Sala who intrigues me and can explode soon ! This is the truth, not PC games !
I don’t get it ! We gor Bennacer already , we want Praet , Vertout , Ceballos ! And even if Kessie and Biglia left we still have Paqueta , Hakan , and Bonaventura !! Where would we put all these guys ! There is a lot of media bs this mercato , hope we’ll figure out what’s going out soon enough.
Anyway , i don’t know about Vertout , what do you think of him ? And is he better than Praet ?
I was thinking the same thing because we are also linked with Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton. This is what I think, Milan cannot afford Ceballos unless Real Madrid accepts a loan with an option to buy. Ceballos can also play as a trequartista and mezzala. Sampdoria is asking way too much for Praet. 25m is excessive and it appears that Sampdoria want cash only. Veretout asking price is also too high and Fiorentina doesn’t want cash plus player since both Napoli and Roma are also interested. Roma also offered a 3m salary to Veretout and Milan have a salary cap… Read more »
hahaha..
13m+ Biglia for Veretout, 15m+ Silva for Neves, then what next? 10m+ Strinic for Nastasic?
Maldini doing FM style..
