Milan continue to pursue Jordan Veretout and have apparently set up a meeting with Rocco Commisso’s side.
After missing out on Stefano Sensi and Ozan Kabak, Milan continue to chase Fiorentina’s midfielder Jordan Veretout.
According to Alfredo Pedullà of Sportitalia, two clubs are in competition for the Frenchman: Milan and Napoli. The Partenopei have strongly entered the race, also thanks to the transfer of Amadou Diawara to Roma (as part of the deal for Greek center back Kostas Manolas).
Pedullà suggests that Napoli had contacts with Fiorentina yesterday and are thinking of inserting Marko Rog in the deal for Veretout. However, Milan are convinced that they can get the player and have set up a meeting for Tuesday (unless the plans change) with the Viola to discuss Jordan.
L’Equipe understands that Paolo Maldini has made important steps in recent days for the signature of Veretout, but Fiorentina are hoping to get €35 million for the player, and it remains to be seen if the two clubs will be able to bridge the gaps when they meet on Tuesday. La Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier this week that the Rossoneri are ready to offer the player a three year deal worth €2.5m + bonuses per season. Roma made an even better offer for the former Nantes man, but Pedullà claims that at the moment Roma are virtually out of the competition for Veretout.
Veretout’s contract with Fiorentina expires in 2021. Earlier reports suggested that Veretout would prefer joining Napoli above any other club, but Milan will hope to not miss out on another target.
Bet me he would go to Napoli. 100%. We are doomed in this transfer. Thanks to fassobeli and galliani for the financial mess we find our beloved club in.
I dont know much of him or torreira tbh but that torreira price is way to high after 1 season. And fiorentina are playing hard ball too. Maybe their interest in biglia cones handy in this negociations and we could snap him. We really need at least 1-2 midfielders and 1 defender too.
At 40 million the price is a steal… Torrierra is a warrior.. Its hard this days to find a combative midfielder with technic
It’s easier for Milan now, all we need to do is get Leandro Perades from PSG for Donnarumma +40m. He has played under Giampaulo at Empoli & I remembered him asking Feraro for Leandro while he was still in Russia. All we need to do is allow a combative mezella like Veretout or Kessie play along him in the midfield. Leandro Perades is a Director, Creator & Linch-pin in the midfield area & a good reader of game. It’s a win win situation cuz Arsenal won’t sell us Toreira, not even for 40m…..
Not redeeming Bakayoko but targeting Veretout for 35 €??
Why didn’t they keep bakayoko at first ….sometimes I wonder if Milan directors are mentally stable .!!????
Naaah, i agree with you.
