Samu Castillejo may be heading out this summer, but there are no negotiations in place right now.
Despite the many struggles of Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Suso, and the different injuries and suspensions suffered by Milan players, Castillejo failed to cement a place in the starting XI last season.
Samu joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2018 from Villarreal and Paolo Maldini claimed that he could be the surprise signing of the season. However, the 24-year-old Spaniard played just over 1000 minutes in Serie A.
According to Milannews.it, Valencia have recently asked for information about the situation of Castillejo. It is said that Samu is feeling good at Milan and would like to stay, but should negotiations develop (they have not started yet), then he would be open to returning to La Liga.
Marco Giampaolo is expected to use a 4-3-1-2 system and Castillejo – a natural winger – would only find space in the role of the second striker, alongside Patrick Cutrone or Krzysztof Piątek.
