Lucas Torreira is the big dream of Marco Giampaolo and it is reported that Milan are working on their first bid.
Rade Krunić has joined Milan from Empoli (although it is still not official), but it’s very clear that more midfielders will be arriving in the club this summer, as Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara have identified this department as the most problematic one.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are seriously interested in Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira, who worked under Marco Giampaolo at Sampdoria. Di Marzio adds that the 23-year-old Uruguayan is considered the ideal reinforcement to lead the Milan midfield, as he’s young and of quality.
The Rossoneri management are now studying and preparing the first offer to present to Arsenal to bring the player back to Italy. It is said that the player would gladly return to the peninsula to work under Giampaolo again, and that Milan are working on the bid with the entourage of the player.
It remains unclear if Arsenal are willing to part ways with Torreira, who had a great debut season in the Premier League, and even if they do – it would very expensive as they got him for €30m last year.

Although that would have been for the best, but I don’t think we can do it that quickly. we offering every one 1-2 year loan deals with the option/obligation (depending on your source). Bakayoko was good for Rino’s defensive approach but Torreira is ideal for offensive play Giampaolo promotes. Torreira anytime

This should be an easy deal, Arsenal are ready to sell for 40mil which is fair, Torreira handed a transfer request so he wants to come to Milan as well. The problems are coming from our side first we dont want to pay 40mil second Eliot does not want any new player to have a sallary higher then 2.5mil, Torreira salary in Arsenal is 3.6mil. If we cant get Troreira i say we need to have a look at Diwara from Napoli he is a similar player and a cheaper option. But Torreira should be the first choise.

Praet is not a defensive mid, like Diwara and Torreira. Praet is considered for the right side, he can play as a side mid or attacking mid, however Vetrout can play as a DM but its not his natural position so he is an option as well for DM. We are looking for one defensive and one side mid at the moment. Other option for DM can be Tonali as well, but he would cost a bit more, and if Milan does not want to pay 40mil for some one like Torreira i doubt they will want to splash money… Read more »

I agree. I wasn’t in favor of Milan signing Biglia due to his age and high salary especially knowing that Torreira was available at Sampdoria for less and he’s younger. Poor decision by Fassone and Mirabelli. Sigh!
I believe Milan will get Torriera though. I just hope we can also get Veretout, Ceballos and a good CB like Manolas to partner Romagnoli.
Ødegaard is a very good player that Milan should definitely get. He’s impressive and Giampaolo can really get the best out of him.

I’m on the fence about Ozan Kabak. The price is right but I prefer someone with more experience to partner Romagnoli like Manolas, Lovren or Thiago Silva who is playing really well for Brazil in the Copa America.
