A delegation of Milan was in Madrid yesterday and some Real Madrid players were discussed, it is claimed.
Milan Technical Director Paolo Maldini, Chief Football Officer Zvonimir Boban and Sporting Director Frederic Massara were in Madrid on Thursday and in the evening they had a meeting with Real’s General Director and Florentino Perez’s right-hand man José Ángel Sánchez.
“The meeting with Real Madrid? Everything is fine. If there are good news for Giampaolo? There are always good news. Optimism for this new Milan? Always, yes,” Maldini told Sky Sport at the airport after returning from the ‘mission’ in Spain.
Real Madrid are in the process of rebuilding their squad and have already spent a great deal of money. They have over 35 players available for Zinedine Zidane and therefore they will be selling and loaning some players in this transfer market. Milan used yesterday’s meeting, which was the first formal meeting between the new Milan management and Real Madrid, to also discuss that.
The transfer market was not the only reason for the meeting but in any case, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky claims that there could be some men coming out of Real that are of interest for Milan. Di Marzio didn’t give any names that he knows for sure are Milan targets, but Sky mentioned Dani Ceballos and Borja Mayoral as two players who could be of interest for the Rossoneri, given the club’s needs.
The Spanish MARCA has linked Milan with a move for Isco, while today’s edition of il Corriere della Sera also wrote about Ceballos (on loan with option to buy) and Borja, but in addition threw the names of Martin Ødegaard, Sergio Reguilón and Theo Hernandez into the mix as possible targets. La Repubblica suggests that 18-year-old Vinícius Júnior is another Real player that has Milan’s attention.
Buying players from a powerhouse like Madrid is always complicated but Maldini, Boban and Massara will weigh in their options and decide whether to pursue one of the exiting Los Blancos players.
Isco would be a great acquisition.

Kovacic, Ceballos and Isco, as well as either of Hernandez or Regulion are all wonderful options. The problem is I don’t understand what are we doing with our players. Bonaventura, Biglia, Paqueta, Kessie, Chalha, Suso are the only player that can play in the new formation of the midfield. The only 2 players that are a must stay are Bona and Paqueta imo. Ceballos is ideal. Isco on loan would be epic but it’s unrealistic given loan fee involved and his high wages. Player that I’m most interested in is Diaz. He is very talented player who did great at lyon before Madrid brought him back. He would be great option as second striker alongside piatek or cutrone. Right age, fits our profile with immense potential.

The kid’s just starting to play to his true potential and I think it’s the right time to go after him since he doesn’t seem to be in the club’s plans for the near future. After reading all news from different sources I understand following things: 1.Ceballos is the prime target for dear Maldini management. Ceballos will be a superb bussiness. 2.Isco is unrealistic according to the current scenario. 3.We shouldn’t go for new striker.We should give silva a last chance. If he can score 10+ goal this season his value n demand will increase.Then we can sell him n bring somebody better than Silva. These are all quality players and they would definitely improve Milan midfield. I just hope we can get the players we want so that Giampaolo can work his magic. This season will be the perfect season to dethrone Juventus. Sarri will need time for the players to adapt to his style of play. Same goes for Conte, Giampaolo, and Paolo Fonseca.
