Milan reportedly considering Veretout for the midfield, but the dream of coach Giampaolo is Arsenal’s Torreira

Jordan Veretout is one of the names Milan are thinking about, while Marco Giampaolo dreams of Lucas Torreira.

The midfield is most likely the department where Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara will make the most adjustments this summer, as Riccardo Montolivo, Jose Mauri, Andrea Bertolacci and Tiémoué Bakayoko have all left, while the futures of Lucas Biglia and Franck Kessié remain uncertain as well.

Sportitalia’s Alfredo Pedullà and Sportmediaset are suggesting that Milan are looking at Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout.

Mediaset have gone as far as saying that the Diavolo are ready to offer €16m plus bonuses for the 26-year-old, but it won’t be enough as Fiorentina recently rejected €27m from Napoli, and new owners Rocco Commisso – who wanted to buy Milan from the Chinese – wants €30m for Jordan.

RadioRossonera’s Pietro Balzano Prota spoke to the entourage of Veretout and they confirmed that the players is in the sights of Milan. According to Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio, however, the dream of Marco Giampaolo is to sign Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira. It would be practically impossible, though, as Torreira is valued at Arsenal and only moved there last year for a reported €30m.

Sassuolo’s Stefano Sensi is another option for midfield. In any case, Milan have already shown that they can work in complete silence, as no one in the media predicted the signing of Rade Krunić.

Dont know much about Torreira and Veretout but i think they are great players. We also need at least 1 defender, not only midfield and if Giampaolo plays his sistem at milan, Piattek, Cutrone wont be enough, maybe keep Silva or bring another for the money we get from him.

When Milan sign a player from a relegation team surely will always goes unnoticed before hand.

Torreira is who Giampaolo wants and the reasons are best known to him. Milan should give him the players he wants as long as they’re still within the transfer budget. I think I like the Torreira, he’s the most consistent player in arsenal last season. Sensi is good. Just do a nice job this transfer window
