Higuaín suffers from a light flexor injury, will not travel with the squad to face Empoli as a precaution

Gonzalo Higuaín is not available for tomorrow’s game so one of Fabio Borini and Patrick Cutrone will take his role at the center of the attack.

The striker found the target in each of the last three Milan games, but El Pipita will not play for the Rossoneri against Empoli tomorrow as the doctors preferred to keep him at Milanello due to an injury.

“Higuaín has got a flexor issue that’s bothering him. It’s an old injury, we’ll evaluate him tomorrow. We left him in peace in the last 3 days and tomorrow we’ll see,” coach Gennaro Gattuso told the press earlier today. But the evaluation was made today instead of tomorrow and it’s been decided that Gonzalo will not travel with the squad to Tuscany, after being initially included in the list of called-up players.

Higuaín played in all the games so far and has proven to be instrumental. Therefore, Milan do not want to take risks with his condition and have left him out for precautionary reasons. And so, Gattuso will have to do without him tomorrow at Stadio Carlo Castellani (21:00 CEST kickoff). The timing is problematic, however, as Patrick Cutrone only returned to training today and may not be 100% fit.

Should Cutrone not be able to play from the first minute, Fabio Borini will be used as the striker in a 4-3-3. The ex-Liverpool man was tried in training today as the man between the wingers.

So higuain and cutrone are both injured, and we want to play with two strikers? Just remember that borini will more than likely be our starting striker tomorrow. Rather have a false nine.

Lmaoo I’ll be happy if he scores one. If he scores a hattrick I won’t say a bad thing about him all year(at least try)

Well, milan did have andriy, bacca and kalinic didnt they but they let them go so no excuses for not being able to play with 2 st, much less playing with borivaldo as lone st. Terrible mercato

Borini established himself as a future star at AS Roma in that position of striker, before being sold at Liverpool. From that moment he was used in the wing position and weren’t the same Borini. So I am optimistic that he will play good and we will win finally the 3 points !

It still beats me to understand why we loaned Andre Silva to Seville without any alternative option in hand and when we have a critical lack of strikers!

Just in case you are not aware, he is now La Liga’s Top Scorer with 6 goals ahead of Messi!.

Who ever was behind his loan decision, and off course taking in consideration the lack of strikers at the club, should be questioned not only regarding this weird decision, but also for the circumstances that we are faced with now with the only TWO main strikers injured!

One of the major problems in milan is coach and management. Look at Andrre Silva scoring in laliga but here our coaches said he’s not too good. Did we give him enough chance to adapt and prove himself?
Some times we are our own enemy. Someone who’s playing in Portuguese national team.
We must tell ourselves the truth even if it’s bitter, we need to step up our ways of handling things in milan if truly we want to get back

Why are not we trying frank tsadjout? He can be given a chance as given to cutrone. He will be better than horini as striker i think.

1) anyone who thinks its good call to let andriy silva, but not borivaldo, go should be executed.
2) milan always play better with 2 st and pipita – andriy/cutrone combo would definitely slays.
3) ballon d’or winners/nominees like savicevic, papin, baggio used to sit on the bench because milan got better options upfront but now they want to play borivaldo as main st.
