Milan have released an official statement regarding Massimiliano Mirabelli, confirming he’s been sacked.

Marco Fassone was fired on Saturday and today his partner Massimiliano Mirabelli, who he brought to the club, also got the note from Paolo Scaroni, the President, letting him know that he’s been sacked.

“Milan announces that, effective today, it has terminated the contract with Mr. Massimiliano Mirabelli as Sports Director of the Club. A new manager – who has already been identified – will be entrusted with the technical-sports area, and will be announced shortly,” a statement reads on Milan’s site.

“Mr. Giuseppe Mangiarano has also been dismissed from his role as Sports General Secretary, with immediate effect.” The arrival of Leonardo should therefore be confirmed in the coming days.
